...But I just don't believe in A) overspending on gifts while making barely enough to scrape by, then complaining endlessly afterwards, nor B) throwing my "bros" and family under the bus for merely sex, especially when it makes me a complete hypocrite.
Just my $0.02.
That being said, I do probably need friends who aren't pussies.
Great post and words, though I just have a thought on the very last image. Though we can acknowledge and appreciate that there are others who have it worse, I don't think it's grounds to completely belittle the immediate problem that someone else has.
Be it someone lost their job, got their heart broken, had coffee spilled on their white shirt, there is no sense in reasoning with that person having a real-time reaction to their situation. Trying to justify that their immediate problem is minuscule compared to starving children in Asia and Africa is... insensible(?.. for lack of a better word) to them.
People are allowed to feel, to grieve, and to come to full understanding with their emotions. Belittling their situation by comparing spilled coffee to a kid in Asia that doesn't have food is comparing apples to oranges.
Perhaps next time someone comes to you with a problem, be it they lost a job, lost love, or had a minor oops, maybe take into consideration that they were upset enough to tell you about it. Let them express what they're feeling in that moment. Lending an ear will help them come to full cycle with their emotions sooner, and they'll grow to accept that what is, is, sooner.
Taking their problem and comparing it against someone who has it worse usually isn't the best tactic to help them get over it (if helping is your intention, or help is what they seek from you).
My 'deep' moment of the day, ladies and gentlemen.

woah.
good point, I didn't look at it from that perspective. I interpreted it as "stop being an eeyore and count your blessings rather than focusing on the negative."
Thank you SFU security team for reuniting me with my Del Sol key
So choked losing it last night, was raining so hard and I had to transit home. Not to mention dealing with a relationship problem compounded with a morning final exam
There's this girl in my Tourism class (don't ask) that I've been getting along with pretty well, and I like her, but she's only on the verge of turning 18.
I just turned 21, so I don't know whether asking her out would be appropriate. She looks 20, so she caught me off guard when I asked her how old she was.

21/2=10.5+7=17.5
math checks out.
proceed with caution - road maybe bumpy with expectations.

I believe cars are meant to be driven. I see zero point in having a beautiful car and never driving it. Might as well have Miranda Kerr in your bed and sleeping on the ground cause you don't want to fudge her mascara...
We go through our entire lives being told what to do every step of the way. The garage was always the one place where you could indulge in your own passion, with not a care for the outside world.
Don't see how they can legally fire YOU over someone else's mistake.
