I know how tough it is to tell her, after all this time. However, if you don't do it soon, it'll just get tougher, and by that time, it'll be too late. I've been down that road a few times, but that helped me to not screw up when I finally met my wife. Although, I didn't have specific plans, I did know I had to act immediately because another guy was asking her out at the time.

Be assertive. Not sure how much younger she is compared to you, but girls go for older guys, compared to guys their age, because they're looking for someone mature, and certain of themselves. They like it when the man takes charge. :)
