Do you really list out negatives as a reason to date someone? Like when I date someone I always talk about the good things about her first. Maybe if you change your perception of the people you date, it would change your outlook on what people think about you when they date you. Don't kid yourself, if you are hanging out with somebody, hang out because you want to, not because you're lonely.

You see, even if I did fail, I would have looked back and that was time worth spending with her. I wouldn't find an excuse to say why she wasn't the one. 1st of all, thank you for posting your good & bad stuff, stories makes it fun to read. So yeah, we all have ups and downs on date, but if it wasn't for these boring ones this forum would be bad shit boring.
I've been on boat loads of boring dates, sometimes just have to embrace it. I dated a chick 5 yrs younger; great on phone, but boring as fuck in person.
when i dropped her off, she knew it was the end; she even said "i know you're not going to call me again, but i hope to see u on the road (we share same road hobbies)"

Things are going great right now. Midterms are coming but I have those dialed in, in a good place with the gf, businesses are going well, feel like all of the work and all of the organizational systems I have put into place the last year or so are finally paying off. Pretty damn happy I stopped being a stoner and kicked my depression to the curb.
For all those struggling and feeling like you're in a low place, keep grinding. You'll make it through. 
Edit: Just realized I've been on RS for 5 years since last month. Holy shit.

Here's the thing about walking a tightrope: You think professionals do it thinking about the ways it will fall? No, otherwise they'd be preoccupied and then they'd fuck up. Sometimes you just have to tune out and focus on what you're best at and flock.
This whole friendzone concept to me is fucking retarded. If I want to talk to someone, I just talk to them. If they don't then I won't talk to them. That's one thing I learned from a wise old Jewish dude I used to work with. He's just talkative as a sales guy. Whoever wants to listen he'll talk to and people love him, but I will say he's as good of a listener as he is a talker. With age comes the power to not give too much shits. Just be mindful of the other party's feelings.
The more you worry about it, the more that it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Honestly, break out of worrying about it. Be cool and casual. I stopped worry about the "friendzone" so long ago that I just simply don't care about it anymore. It just takes the edge off being with the opposite sex.
