Sunday March 26th 2017

I woke up at 7:30am excited for our day trip but also nervous because today was the day I was going to ask her to be my official Girlfriend.
I had everything all planned out. This Girl is obsessed with chocolate. When we go out she always ops out for the double chocolate desserts. Two nights earlier I had made a test batch of double chocolate cookies at home. I was going to make her these handmade cookies (since she baked me a cake) that contained messages on them that confessed my love for her.
8:30am the cookies came out perfect and were now cooling on the cooling rack. ready for packaging and icing (I wanted to write "Will You Be My Girlfriend" on the cookies with icing.)
Icing was applied and needed some time to dry. But little did I know Icing Gel doesn't dry. meaning if I placed these cookies inside my nice custom paper bag purchased at Diaso, the words would be smudged and my efforts would be wasted
I spend an entire 20mins contemplating my life once i realised how ugly these cookies would be with icing running down the sides of them. But I eventually improvised and used Take out containers to carry the cookies in. making sure the words didn't touch and smudge but the pretty factor was not there anymore. I arrived at 10:00am (30mins late from our originally agreed pickup time) and we hit the road. she brought a bowl of fruit salad that she calmed was her breakfast. I had one cookie ready for her - this one had no message on it. i wanted her to eat one fresh from the oven. she seemed to enjoy them especially since she knew I got up super early to make them fresh for her.

An hour and a half later from driving we arrived at the small but beautiful town located in the Canadian Rockies. We parked the car and started exploring the streets.
After the streets were done being explored one by one I assumed it was going to be lunch time. But running a tight schedule we had to move onto our next point of interest.
After the Gondola ride up Sulfur Mountain I was getting pretty peckish but she was having a really good time and it didn't seems like she was Hungry. The views are very majestic and a super romantic. There were many times where she would just stand on the lookout deck to gaze at it all for minutes and i would just hold her from behind. (like from the scene of Titanic BUT she still wouldn't let me hold her hand) I asked her if she wanted to grab a snack before we headed out to the more picture perfect Lake Named by National Geographic but she said she was fine, and I was going to tough it out. She was enjoying herself so much

We arrived at the Lake an hour later (we took the Scenic Route - I highly recommend it if you are a driving enthusiast)
It was much colder here than in the small Town - I was expecting her to just go see the Castle like Hotel and take a few pictures of the lake. My Time frame was 30mins Max.
but boy was I wrong. The Lake had froze over and it allowed for people to walk on it.
She wanted to walk the entire length of the lake.
At this point and i was cold, tired and Hungry as fuck (I had only eaten a bowl of Oatmeal and a few pieces of fruit all day)
But, I knew this was a special occasion and if she was to do this trip with her family members, they wouldn't be willing to take the hike.
It was about 8:30pm after it was all said and done when she was ready to head home.

She knew i had not eaten since this morning and i was cold.
Once we got to the back to the car. I presented her with the cookies that I had made in the morning with the messages on them.
She was speechless for a moment, the cookie read "B My GF?"
at this point I really didn't care. I just wanted to head back into town and eat some food.
She initially didn't say anything then i asked her the question.
but on the ride home she randomly said "Why did you ask me that question?"
and I told her it was the next natural thing for us to do.

We went to the restaurant close to her house. and it was closed. and i was super disappointed.
at this point i was beyond Hangry but i really wanted to eat some real food. so i bit the bullet and drove to China Town and ate at the secondary location of the same restaurant (that was still open)

Drop her off at home and I get a text from her:
"Do you want to know what my answer is?"
I was puzzled and i didn't really know what she was talking about.
She then said "Yes, lets give it a try"

And that is the story of how my Sunday ended.
Hungry and tired as fuck but it was worth it.
