So the muffler in my Yonaka catback started falling apart and making this hideous rattling and banging noise while driving and accelerating, so for some reason I thought it'd be a smart idea to get a shop to cut off the broken muffler section and put in a straight pipe instead while I wait for the warranty replacement muffler to arrive (4-5 weeks on a container).

When you make a car alarm go off from just cold starting your car up, that's when you know you've made a horrible mistake :badpokerface:

The car is so hilariously and embarrassingly loud I don't know whether to giggle or sob.

I went to Giant today to go bike shopping with the gf, and as I pulled in front of the store the guys inside asked me what kind of built motor I had inside of my Element :lawl:

There's no way I'm gonna be able to deal with this level of noise for 4-5 weeks. Probably going to end up getting a custom muffler setup done up and forget about the Yonaka replacement muffler which will probably break apart again after a few months...
