I'm surprised how much I learned at school actually applies. Regardless of which, it doesn't make the decision any easier.
When this said friend FINALLY shows up to work, he questions everything I do, even if the reason is TO MAKE THE CLIENT HAPPY. That being said, when he does show up, the workload is a lot easier to manage, and he actually gets shit done. Only issue is, he doesn't show up half the time.

I think the most annoying thing is that I expected him to be an adult and be able to work with little to no rules. Given that it's a small business, it's a very casual environment. But I don't know how the fuck anyone would not think to call in if you're not coming to work. We're very big on flexibility, but to not show up for the entire week is just irresponsible.
I feel like I should have done a better job creating norms and rules. On the other hand, when I removed him as project lead (cause unreliability) and started to micromanage, that's when he went MIA.
What makes it all so shitty is that he's my best friend (who also has all my detailing supplies) and he's as unreliable as my e46.

When the boss announce that our office lease is ending 2019 and the location where you're living is on the books. If it get's finalize as time gets near, saving time and money on commute to work is gonna be so much win. Here's to 5 min walk to work. 
Also, fuck the kids who are too pussy to be step foot into Surrey because of "gangs". lol.

Update 3: Guy finally came back to work today - with an attitude. Fucking pmo, trying to have a constructive conversation about what needs to be fixed, and he just storms out.
I just checked, ffs, for the 3 hrs he was there, he did no work.

I've had exclusive relationships with salads for like 3 months and I already knew I should stay away from being friends with them 'cause you don't make friends with salads. Didn't take me 15 years to figure that out.

I try to give him the benefit of the doubt due to his circumstances, which is why, it took several weeks pending the end of his employment.
I did mention somewhere that I probably should have enforced stricter rules way earlier on. Though I have learned that due to an established informal relationship, things are way harder than what it should have been.
I'm mad at the whole situation because he was given the opportunity (two weeks) to speak up about what's wrong, whether that be family or work. But he chose not to until I told him he can either leave his attitude at the door, or submit his hours and we'll call it the end of his employment.
One of our partnering firms have a great method of resolving conflict. When shit happens, say something about it, and don't let it build up. They actually talk about it and not act like complete children - which is what I tried to do.
I think the most annoying thing is that this friend is in this position due to unfortunate circumstances. Given our relationship, I have tried to help him, whether that be through free textbooks to supplement learning, giving him a job, or even letting him use my detailing stuff. But time after time, he has chosen to be a child.
Honestly, I'm kind of done with this. I just think he needs to grow the fuck up and give me my detailing supplies back. My car has been filthy since RS meet.  Good thing I didn't lend him my Griot's polisher...

Crashing at your relatives place is the WORSE IDEA ever, you're living in a 300-500 sq ft place. Oh you want to party hard and come home; good luck having relatives being nice to you when you wake everyone up.
OH, try living in HK when it's winter... its cold.. NOT that cold, but when it hit 14-16 degrees with no heat at home.. that sucks.
All my friends had the same dilemma when they were in HK. Take it with a grain of salt.

so i managed to find a part time job that pays well!
The director is anticipating on giving me more hours because hes concern that i might leave soon for another opportunity. overall i love the work i do and the general task that i am being given.
I am well honest with him too, telling him that i do have more opportunities out there that is bound to come my way and this was yesterday.
Today I get a call from Toronto, saying that they love my portfolio. They want me to go through an online assessment to determine their final decision.
I feel so happy that things are finally falling together, its happening so quick that i am overwhelmed with excitement and told Mr.Toronto that i wanted more money than what they offered.
Its crazy!
The problem is, if i continue to say with this part time job. I will make more than moving to Toronto.
Moving to Toronoto on the other hand, will let me experience things alone and learn as much as i can.
decision, decisions...
What would you guys do?
Both of these jobs are related to the field FYI.

I'm here bitching about 5 days/ week @ 40 hours. People there work like 6-7 days per week @ 10-12 hour days. Feels like there is no life in HK besides the daily grind of working since cost of living is so high there.
