People here are rude and also a big majority haven't worked similar jobs so they don't get it. Some people don't even say thank you for holding a door open....like aight ya Lil brussel sprout smellin ass BITCH.
When you work in the industry, you feel the pain. I don't like getting approached by a sales associate because im scared to get upsold since itll probably work so i need to focus. However I always make a point of saying thank you have a good day/night! To people in the store when I'm leaving, whether or not they helped me. I'll say it even when I don't buy anything cuz fuck im thankful for them letting me putter around the store and read all the ingredients of the products in peace. Retail fuckin sucks - I worked at Aritzia before lol.

There are no exceptions to that rule, no girls are on the internet, they are all men or FBI posing as little boys or girls behind a screen trying to steal your money or arrest you. Everyone knows this. Cue CIC into this thread.

Montreal Chinatown is the coolest I've seen. Little streets and random courtyards. Theres streets within the main streets and so many hidden shops. Soo many bakeries with cool shit. You're not allowed to take pics of the products in the bakeries there lol. I tried and got told by an auntie type.
Toronto Chinatown is like ours except no Hastings street and a lot bigger, also surrounded by projects.

Flushing in Queens is THE Chinatown around the NYC area. You have a really small chinatown beside little italy on the southside. West side manhatten is hipster town, east side has ramen.

I'd say as a Canadian born and raised, NYC is one place that's good to visit but if you think Vancouver has an unfriendly attitude, NYC isn't a good place to expect better behaviour. I do like the city, though. it's got huge amounts to character.

with retail industry looking for tons of workers, there are no short of jobs out there and a workers market.

Having said that, people will put up with shit workers and in turn "best to keep them instead of firing them" so these retail workers aren't getting the proper training nor mentoring needed to do a good job.

I still remember back in the day, I had to fill the form out for my clients in retail. Now, here's a pen and paper, fill it out, come back to me when you're done....

Just watched some mainland lady bitch out the CSRs at TD Central Garden City, then proceeded to get into a shitty Dodge. People just have no sense of human decency.

Just watching. My bf coached one of his coworkers who was in this one. Bfs the avid competitor, he just completed 4 shows this year. Most people only compete/attend a show once a year.....this is our 5th of the year, hence my disdain lol. PJSalt

I wish I did more research in my car before buying it. I wish I knew what I wanted to do with my car before deciding to buy it. But I can't think of any other car I'd rather have. Smfh.

Part of the fun in getting a new car is fixing it up and making it truly yours. :fullofwin:

I knew about the subframe and cooling issues. But I didn't know about the performance weakness of the car and to get it track ready I have to address the m54b30's biggest performance issue: the oil pump nut.

Only on the m54b30, the OPN will fall off or oil pump sprocket will shear off, under high rpms due to the harmonic vibrations.

Result is that I have to get a modified oil pump and water pump, both of which can still fail, ATI harmonic damper (which is the only solution and sold by VAC so they're charging ridiculous prices).

Pretty sure I'm forgetting something, but that's what's on the top of my head.

So much regret, kind of, not really. But most of the nightmare is over - for now. Learned lots about fixing cars tho. Did sparkplugs on my friend's em1 and that was ezzzzz

Of course, the one car that can replace this car is an e46 m3 ;)
