Leave this company and it will leave a big dent. | Be mindful of whether there are any requirements or committments you need to fulfill for taking that upgrade course. If there is a clause somewhere requiring you to stay another 6 months or a year because you've taken the course, think twice before signing up for it.
Problem is -- as soon as you ask your super or manager about this, they'll know you don't plan on staying. So I dunno what is a good approach to handle this.

I didn't ask about it, manager brought it up prior to me agreeing on the terms. Which works out great for me. After 6 months it would be January, new year new start? Quote:

Some people are so ignorant and stuck in their own world.
In qualification, the client seemed to understand that in order to get funding, there needs to be some changes. She seemed receptive to the changes that I already put out there. She seemed to understand that not anybody can get an IPO.
Today, we had a meeting with my fundraising team to see what we could do to help her. Doesn't talk about revenue, just says you'll be getting 6% ROI on profits. Can we get the money? Yes. Can we get it right now with the current business model? No. She seemed hell bent on her service being the best there is, innovator in the industry which is true. Problem? She hasn't done anything to keep up with changing times. She thinks she knows the industry so well, that she's ignorant to anything that's wrong.
If anything, the business would have to strategize in a reactionary position. You want to be anticipatory.
Tl;DR: I should have done a better job qualifying the lead. I shouldn't let what I envision the business to be, let a lead be qualified. I need to do a better job communication my vision for the company to the client. People either don't see a problem or don't want to see the problem, I need to be able to communicate the problem without having a heated conversation.

She's only in this position because over the past 10 years, she's been reluctant to change, allowing competitors to come in.

^ this is the reason why businesses usually die within the first 5 yrs and also slow the F down after the last 5.

I recently read a book about excuses. Stop making excuses to why things aren't working. Identify the core issue, and figure out what YOU can do to change that. How can YOU do better next time?
What about business are you scared of? Failure? What is it really?

Do the easiest thing on your list, first. Go on a nice vacation by yourself. You get to do what you want when you want. You can go anywhere.
In an effort to re-focus and collect my thoughts, I once drove to Medicine Hat and back. I smoked a bag of grass, and took pictures along the way. It was cheap, entertaining solitude. Don't go to Medicine Hat, though. There's nothing there except a giant teepee. One of my friends got canned from EA, and took the opportunity to do a solo tour of NY, New Orleans, and Memphis. He's never been to any of those places, and he had a great experience.
Perhaps, that time alone will give you some insight on what you'd like to do with your life.

^ my buddy is starting a new eatery venture; if you're serious, let's have a conversation.
Props to you for nothing you're stuck. People, guys and girls, tend to jump from one job to another, one date to another. It's time to understand you gotta find joy within before you change the environment.
I see so many people who are so into changing environment and now it's aroudn the 10 yr cycle and they are back at square one.
Consider going into a new hobby, not boring BS like basket weaving at home, but a more interactive thing when you meet people.
As for traveling, go join GAP adventures and jump aboard by yourself but you'll get to meet new people in the tour. Met a dude that did 5 countries back to back just cause he kept on meeting nice people and he just kept going to stay at their stranger's cities.

Would be interested in opening one in the parries | Just open one and then use a different name. I went to Regina and they have a bubble tea place there. They only see bubble tea but to me is average at best but there are lines up. Even my friend said is always line up. In those places as long as it is average you will get lot's of business.
From what I could see the Chinese food scene in Regina is just so so. There are oppournites if you have the drive.

it was even advertised as "The cook from Deer Garden"
That lasted like 6 months lol
I don't mind opening up one under the real name because I will have some-sort of support from "Head office" even if that means some fucking dumb hk person who doesn't know shit about doing a business.
I don't mind making less for some sort of "False security"
a so called "Franchise"

That mental reset that people seem to get after travelling never happened either, almost like I never really left.
Basically felt like I had time to go do things I would probably do here, but with Tokyo as a backdrop. I guess it was more or less I didn't hate it, I just didn't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
Said it in another thread; I like to waste money and take neat pictures.
