Going camping for 4 days with my SO today, she doesn’t understand the concept of packing light.

She’s like “that’s all you’re bringing?”

4 changes of clothes, jacket, hat, towel. Toothbrush/paste, deodorant, sunscreen. Water bottle, mug, plate, knife, fork, spoon. Sleeping bag, mattress, pillow, flashlight. Cooler with drinks/food for 2 days. Epipen, inhaler. Tent, foldable chair. Mini propane stove, small pan. Shoes, sandals, sunglasses.

She’s got like 2 coolers, 12 changes of clothes, 4 pairs of PJs, awning, folding tables, tupperware, dozens of plates, bowls, etc, sheets, a quilt, blankets, etc etc etc

This is supposed to fit in a BMW E90? I can barely get my golf clubs in the trunk, woman ...

Packing light means bringing the lit make-up mirror. It seems like my wife brings her entire bathroom with her.

Where did we go wrong? I know we started out alright.

Her: I'm a unicorn!

I like red wine, travelling, camping, yoga, tacos, avacadoes and being a dog mother. Looking for a partner in crime to run the seawall with and chase the spiders out of my bathroom. Bonus points if you're down with intersectionality.

Me: You ain't a unicorn. You're a slab of drywall waiting to be mounted on the studs.

I was playing with my nephew, today. He told me that he loved Uncle Presto. Best day, 2018.

What's the insurance like

Knowing where you finally stand with people is both a way to move onto new friends, and realizing you're a friendless loser to people you thought you were cool with in the past.

Maybe she has the means for it, so it won't be a problem?

I always keep my goals realistic, even if they are out of reach. If it is too much out of reach, it is really more of a dream as opposed to a goal.

The ones with the fudge fillings are the best!

(Gosh that can be interpreted in a different context that'd make it sooooo wrong and disgusting... :fullofwin: :ifyouknow: )

Well that was an interesting year of ups and down. You are leaving Vancouver indefinitely and for once I agree with your decision of breaking it off.

I leave it all up to fate. Despite your indecisiveness, you are the nicest most baggage free girl I've ever dated. Too bad you are not at a point of your life where you are ready to settle down.

Gonna enjoy the last 2 week or so with you, than its back at it again all by myself.

Last GF i dated, perfect on paper but lacked experienced and it was a deal killer (when it came to dealing with emotions / situations, didn't know how to compromise)

Just met a girl, super well put together.
Everything is good on paper. lesson learned, going to take it slow and ensure we sit down and chat and talk shit out.

No time to waste nor do i want to waste the girl's prime time as we are in our late 30s.

Grind now so you can shine later.

You got what it takes, but it will take all you got.

I'm in a whatsapp group with a small but long running group of friends (15-25 years). I was sick most of this year plus having a crazier than normal work schedule. Top it off with recently discovering I'm losing my home. It caused me to miss out on some hangouts which I always gave advanced notice of.

Fast forward to summer and I find out they migrated to a different group without me. They are still hanging out. I think I'm too old and crusty to give a shit which is which is why I feel nothing. Hard to leave the runway with excess baggage and disruptive voices.

I did make good friends with Roland. We fought a lot in the beginning. It was even abusive but almost a year later, we got along amazingly and make beautiful music together /cliche.

This is Roland.
