This was me, but with a shorter duration of knowing each other. I said fuck it, and have been getting to know people better at work since my current job isn't full of old-timers.

Fuck being dropped by people regardless.

Haven't posted in a while but just really wanted to get something off my chest..

Times like this is where your true friends come out and you see who really has your back even though it's your own fault (unintentionally) that shit is where it is right now. Can't take back what I did but I'm doing everything I can to deal with the consequences. Just because I deal with things differently and not "normally", doesn't make me a shitty person? If it does, then so be it, lol.

1) You're owning up to what you did
2) cliché as it may sound, at the end of the day, it is only money

Keep calm and carry on -- it's the only thing anyone can do at trying times.

Has anyone every thought "I've done enough in life, no more purpose" or is my head on fucked side up?

^ i don't blame you, i've been trying to find a girl to date for eons and trying to mold and accept her and working with her to make us work, and dangggggg how stupid am I.

But that's the thing we are guys, we are hunters and each time we find a girl we try to make it work.

It's not until you find the right one you realize the both of you are at the same mindset.
1) you live at home, no problem, gf is ok with that
2) u drive a shit car... no problem, your gf ain't into race cars
3) you have multiple hobbies.. bam, she jumps in and tries your hobbies
4) long hours at work... not an issue, she's happy as F just to see you for 15minutes after dinner for a short walk.

When you meet someone at the same caliber as you, it just works. Having said that, i really didn't mind dating young chicks for fun to keep my skills and mojo in check.

When I first started my company, we all agreed on no bullshit, no politics, and no filter. Which is great, considering I have no filter, and I don't really give a shit if your feelings are hurt. Frankly, idgaf about a lot of things, as long as the job gets done. And if the job isn't done right, you're gonna hear about it.

Now my fellow co-founders are telling me that I should be more "nice" when addressing an issue. Cause otherwise people are going to be defensive.

It’s you having a personality that turns people off. I’m saying this for your own good. If you wanna be a leader u have to have a level of tolerance and patience. It’ll do u more good than harm. Be direct with ur communication but say it in way where it shows you considered their situation. And you’re just trying to solve a problem. No one like a smartass
Didn't know we were breeding snowflakes and a bunch of pussies. Also not sure if I'm ignorant and I'm just so used to being direct for the past 4 years, but having no filter and being simply just open has greatly benefited my professional and personal network.

(I see where they're coming from, but I don't care.)

What kinda company?
The type also determines how you approach as it'll determine the type of people you have.

You'd be considered a nihilist. The mantra being 'there is nothing in everything'.

Digital Marketing agency, where talent is essential to our business. But the thing is when it comes to my employees or subordinates, I'm actually not as direct as if it were with our management team.

With my subordinates, I'm direct, but not an asshole. With my management team, I expect them to not make stupid mistakes, and if they do make them, they're going to hear from me.

Designers are generally introverted. Two people of my management team need to practice the art of not giving a fuck. Or at least practice being able to separate emotion and work. It's not like what I call them out on is subjective anyway, it's very objective.

Simply, I think that creating a "safe space" can lead to inefficiency. (Or people really just need to grow a backbone.)

As long as you are considerate of your employees given the professional setting you are fine.

As for your mgmt team, they need to learn to call a spade a spade and it's ok to debate as long as it's respectful and you aren't making personal attacks.

If mgmt team cannot be transparent with respect, make its time to look at installing an advisory board as an objective third party.
