Service has been as strong as ever for us, numbers wise. The only problem is our shuttle driver who is a grumpy ex-CBSA retiree, and the appointment coordinator who's checked out. We all lose CS points on shit shuttle service, and each of us loses money if we have to book appointments instead of taking in customers.

I booked over 25 appointments yesterday between answering nearly 50 phone calls, and only managed to get 8 of 60 appointments between 4 advisors. I lost chances to make some money and our GM is going to see my numbers tank because I have to do the job of someone who doesn't give a fuck.

The advisors don't want to burn, but when there's people pouring gasoline on the fires, there's nothing we can do.

That's pretty awesome. I don't see myself buying a place in Vancouver anytime soon. Unless I sell both my cars and live at home till I'm 26/27. But then again I also want to live Downtown so I can walk to work. BibleThump

The new mortgage rules are particularly restricting - max 4.5x of your annual income.

Suppose you had 20% down for a 600k condo, the remaining 480k would require an annual income of roughly 110k.

4.5X was pretty much what I was getting quoted way back in 2018 Q1/Q2 right after the +2% stricter rules came into play.


EDIT: Misread your post, I thought there was a newer mortgage rule, but I think you were talking about the one that kicked in January 2018.

It's even better when it feels like you have no connection to anyone, especially with online dating. Nothing but tumbleweeds since 2014.

A friend said he can sometimes get you approved for 5.5x by writing a convincing application indicating that your career will show significant growth in 5 years. :lawl: That's still 85 - 95k annual income though. Which is doable, otherwise your likely going to have to put 25 - 35% down payment.

He was mighty useless though hahah. I figured out most of my problems with the assistance from my mortgage broker and lawyer.
