I have not, but be prepared to be on Propecia even after your surgery to retain the hair you DO have...

Yes, I'm quoting a 2 year old post but it is complete horsesh*t. H&W doe NOT use the techniques of HTC. H&W invented the "Lateral Slit" technique where they use custom cut blades to make incisions, not needles. If you take some time to research online you'll see that they constantly get recognition for awesome results and they use HD video very effectively to show the details of their results. HTC? Search online and there is barely any mention of them.

Propecia

BrRsn 10-29-2014 07:33 PM

bump!

Anyone using propecia (finasteride) regularly care to chime in on their results + side effects?

Cost is a moot point (in Canada anyways), and the efficacy has been shown to be around ~85% -- but how many of you are suffering from the side effects?

... posting this is making me feel fucking old :okay:

Has anyone tried different forms of minoxidil like foam vs gels vs droplets? Also, any difference between the brands other than %?

jlo mein 10-11-2015 02:46 PM

Where are you guys getting the cheapest legit minoxidil?

I last looked at the Kirkland one at Costco a few years ago and I think it was ~$40 for a one month portion?

You can try asking your doctor for a prescription as well b/c there is a stronger dosage.
This way you can try writing it off on your extended health insurance

Bamboo Silica is a great product, its not a miracle, but will provide similar results to biotin but stronger. A great addition to try

Has anyone tried this?

Is Minoxidil over the counter in Canada yet?

racerman88 10-10-2017 01:09 PM

It is for the lower concentration. You can get a higher concentration with a doctor's prescription

The 5% minoxidil foam I was prescribed was over the counter at London Drugs. Comes in a 3 month supply box. People swear by propecia (finasteride) tablet though.

mr_chin 12-11-2017 05:04 PM

Gonna shave completely for the new years. Embrace the baldness.

tegra7 12-11-2017 09:11 PM

Been on 5% minoxidil liquid for 6 weeks now, only once a day though.

Don't they all give you man boobs and shrink your penis? Or are they just myths?

When I was using Rogaine and notice weak erections, I stopped immediately. No hair is fine, can't get it up during sex is not.

tegra7 12-16-2017 01:33 PM

^How long were you on rogaine? I haven't noticed any dick issues.

A month or so.

StanleyR 12-18-2017 04:46 PM

IMHO stress and shit diet are the main contributing factors to baldness.

...just my .02

tegra7 05-16-2018 11:44 PM

6 months I've been on 5% minoxidil once a day at night, and no results other than color less hair furs growing on my ears and cheeks.
