I like how people crowd around outlets hahaha

Ikkaku 10-29-2008 02:02 PM

laptop area below images is the best, all the people playing WoW!

people have laptops that last 3 - 4 hours, which is why they always run to outlets, at least that's what I do :(

gnat. 10-29-2008 10:04 PM

haha yeah. my friend said he just got class average, and he beat some of our friends=\!
anyway, quick question...are we "supposed" to get bad grades in first year?! lol...finding that almost all of my classes have super low class averages, and my marks are definitely border line / terrible!

Ikkaku 10-29-2008 10:11 PM

depends on the prof and the program lol... I'm in crim and psyc and some of those courses have pretty high averages.

my psyc221 or whatever course had an average of 71%
a mark booster, btw, barry cartwright's criminology classes ... when i had him for 101 and 131, the average was always a B (no scaling). For 101, the most common grade was an A+ or something :lol

You're not suppose to get bad grades haha. Getting bad grades is part of the transition to university. Different teaching styles and expectations will most definitely have an impact on your mark. Don't worry about and just try harder next time.

jtanner_ 10-29-2008 10:13 PM

I'm going to say yes =b, i've noticed that the averages in amost all my classes are terribly low ahaha.

gnat. 10-29-2008 10:18 PM

haha frick! why does it have to be so damn different! haha
so for people who are at SFU at like midnight times, what's it like?! i imagine it to be kind of freaking? since there are hardly anyone around right?
my imagination is running wild but i see zombies chasing after students for some reason....haha! damn movies!

Ikkaku 10-29-2008 10:21 PM

the only zombies that you'll see are those people that have pulled a few consecutive all nighters :lol

ya.. some.. my math 100 class average was a D , exactly at 50%.. lol, everyone was asking around if they passed or not plus, the prof said she will not be scaling anything or bell curving anything... gg:cry:...... but for classes like econ 103 (Akbar) and intro psych? ( 100? I don't know the number) the class average is around the B- / B+ level..

hey i'm in math 100 too! haha yeah frick that class is killer, i heard that math 100 is more work/harder than math 157...i asked my friends for help from math 157 and he was like errr i don't know any of this:confused:
are you ready for the next midterm?

haha i've pulled all nighters before too, i find that it's the worst way to study! wayyy to tired the next day! literally living off coffee + energy drinks! haha sucks

BlitzBlitz 10-29-2008 10:46 PM

^ YO no way!! really? where do you sit??? uh.. next midterm, no way in hell am i ready man... guess what, i got 0 /6 on my last math assignment just because i wrote in my cover sheet instead of printing it off. My printer didn't work that day, my friend forgot to print it for me, and I didn't bring my print card.. #%#%*^!@ it's just the fact that the stuff she teaches, is totally old and repetitive... sigh.

It's pretty normal at midnight, there's still quite a few people roaming around campus. People are studying, smoking, chilling god knows what else lol. I was just there last night until around 1am. The only thing with staying that late is that once you leave the building its freezing!
