^Wrong..

It is called the Back on Track program. If you are on AP and think that you will be put onto the RTW (Required to Withdraw) status then you can take this Back On Track program and stay at the University and not be kicked out. It is basically an extended AP program.Successful program applicants, rather than be Required to Withdraw from the university, are eligible to participate in an Extended Academic Probation. In fact, successful students in the program have the “Required to Withdraw” standing removed from their permanent record.

Actually, I wrote the wrong thing, it IS possible to get kicked out, but it is also possible to stay at SFU and NOT get kicked out... My bad.

oh, yushimi did you ever do crim101 and 131? that's a prereq for 315 LOL

and being in 101 with shuya80 doesn't count ;)

man.. 318's syllabus seems to be pretty dry.. but from what i read from ratemyprof he seems to be decent.

wuuhoo 11-15-2009 08:11 PM

anyone take econ 105 before? if so whos better:

D.cox or E.sehic (sp)

G 11-15-2009 08:22 PM

^Duno who D.cox is, go look at him on Ratemyprof... as for E.Sehic, hes really good... except his midterms/finals are so easy that the curve will be insanely high... From what I remember 93% in the whole course = B+ and high 80's = C+

Ikkaku: lol, no good asian movies out :( but I will be distracted by your iphone massive earthquake vibrate haha

Alphamale 11-15-2009 08:25 PM

Cox, ftw.

Sehic for sure

I actually had to take 105 twice..first with cox, second time with sehic

IMO Sehic's lectures were easier to understand than Cox's, but Cox does entertain you with his constant moving back and forth between overheads and he tends to be a bit jumpy

Lolz about time :p

Man i hope i dont get distracted in class by you guys haha.

You do know this spring sem is 2 weeks longer because we're taking a 2 week break in feb for the olympics?

The_AK 11-16-2009 10:42 AM

need science courses, thinking about computing science 120 and poli sci 101 or cogs, any opinions?

bcedhk 11-16-2009 11:05 AM

cox walks like a retard, but he is a good teacher. Listen to his lecture carefully and take notes/copy the graphs.

his mt/final were straight forward, some tricky questions, but manageable if you listen and do his practical exams.

Peter Kennedy (retired) that guy is impossible to do well in!

danlee78 11-16-2009 01:07 PM

CRIM 315, FTW

TRDood 11-16-2009 01:32 PM

cox is good.

i signed up to be his TA next semester, i doubt i will get an easy course to teach though.

i have never met Sehic, so can't comment on him.

lol, I got an A- with Kennedy. I took it with like 5 or 6 other people and 2 failed, 3 got C or C- haha.

G 11-16-2009 02:30 PM

Sehic = The coolest prof ever. If you picture a mafia gangster with a Bosnian accent then thats him! Super funny and tests are really straight forward... and no textbook.

typ. 11-16-2009 04:58 PM

^ Yo TT, did you stay in class? did I miss anything important? :P

G 11-16-2009 08:31 PM

^I left after you left.

Because of the 2 week break during the olympics, spring semester will be extended 2 extra weeks to make up for it. The total length will be the same, just a 2 weak break in between. Grad will be pushed back as well, which is good since it will be warmer :)

It's on the library site so I just quoted it from there the important parts,

"Spring 2010 classes start January 4, 2010
Olympic break: Feb. 15-26 - classes cancelled; University & Library will be open; Library will most likely have reduced hours - please check back at a later date for more information; more information on SFU and the Olympic Break can be found here: www.sfu.ca/pamr/Olympics/Olympics_10070901.html "

Yay.......no driving for...2 weeks! Lolz I hope it's less snow. I hope I can get out of my driveway this year and turn without drifting :(

Drifting = BAD lolz
But I think fishtailing is worse =\

Still need courses...

dachinesedude 11-16-2009 11:22 PM

ah fuck, all the tuts i want are filling up quick, not good

carsncars 11-17-2009 10:48 AM

ouch... they're getting quite strict with the clamps

http://www.sfu.ca/~mjp16/misc/IMG_0006.jpg

why is it always the higher end cars with clamps? you'd think afford expensive car = afford parking ticket/pass. i would have expected the people driving beaters to be the ones trying to skimp on parking.

BD2002 11-17-2009 11:12 AM

Expensive cars = people who think they can get away with stuff (and usually can. lol)
