why is it always the higher end cars with clamps? you'd think afford expensive car = afford parking ticket/pass. i would have expected the people driving beaters to be the ones trying to skimp on parking.

haha damnnn.. i saw that too! LOL.. though i was below the hill b-lot.. i was wondering why there were so many "fliers" on the windshield.. :haha:

bcedhk 11-17-2009 02:13 PM

what if you have 24's ... wonder how they can lock your car up.

BD2002 11-17-2009 03:12 PM

Maybe he got locked up for the ugly spoiler

Ikkaku 11-17-2009 03:38 PM

I remember 1 or 2 semesters ago, I was walking to the stairs for convocation lot... a 3-series was getting towed and the security guard kept making jokes about rich people paying for their cars by skimping out on parking tickets

The_AK 11-17-2009 04:04 PM

BD2002 11-17-2009 04:31 PM

crim 315, is that the one with no pre-reqs and is fairly easy?

might consider that next year if so

jing 11-17-2009 05:01 PM

CRIM 301 has no pre-req's either and is pretty easy or so I'm finding right now.

Are there any other upper division courses (doesn't matter what faculty) with no pre-req's?

Lolz let's just say my first sem, NO ONE ever told me what the "3" or "4" meant when I registered for classes. Turns out one of my classes was a 4 and GPA went Krrrr-PLUNK. I've been slowly slowly going back up but Summer sem wasn't so great so .... yea down I went. This sem I only took 2 courses now. One 2 credit (CHEM) and another that's 3 credit (STATS). The "3" credit is currently at A-...and I'm hoping it stays approx there while the "2" is at a B-ish range. I still need a lot more courses to boost it back up or else I don't want to risk anything and I'm gone from SFU.

210 - interesting material, not easy not hard
260 - more calculations than theory, boring material
291 - if you did good in 105, you will do good in this, and vice versa

which one to choose? i would look at teachers' reviews

Was 260 easy though? Pretty much every prof teaching 2nd yr econ this coming semester got crappy reviews so I figure I'll just take the easiest courses that fits my schedule.

NO. NOOOOOOOOOO. It's not snowing anymore right? :(

Alphamale 11-18-2009 08:04 AM

No, it's not snowing up hurr. No remnants of snow either.

carsncars 11-18-2009 08:24 AM

Little bit of hail as I pulled into G lot... nothing compared to last week's hail though.

EDIT: AAAANnnd that's 444 posts. Right before my 281 midterm. :( Anybody know if Pete Wilson's CHEM 281 is curved/scaled at all?

CRS 11-18-2009 09:32 AM

I think it will depend on the class average.

Though 99% of all science courses will be scaled so most likely as the assumption is the avg should be around 50%-60%.
