hmm sfu forum huh.... do I come here to express how much I hate my registration time...
Check the only class I wanted 2 days before my regi time (CMNS110) and it had 80 spots.... and two days later I'm #40 on the wait list.... dang

Was pretty pissed none the less.

I'm gonna be doing a joint biz/comp sci major, but only taken 1 of the comp sci courses so far so not much help...

Which comp-sci course? I did CMPT165, but it's not one of the lower requirements, but I did do phil100 which is a lower req....Are you finishing up your 2nd year in the summer semester or are you younger? Fufufufufuufufufufuu I think i'm behind if I want to minor comp-sci

120 (python), it was easy as hell, but i do have a programming background so..
Im only finishing up my first year. Well its better to be behind and get it then not do it at all. Imo a comp sci minor will be quite helpful especially with computers becoming a larger and larger part of society.
Reread what i wrote about lectures, thats exactly what i said :P I think its canceled because he just doesnt have any more material to cover. We technically did cover quite a lot of stuff. I mean for the midterm we had 3 pages of formulas.

Lol, I see, I heard 120 is easy also, and yea, python is pretty easy (programming background ftw?). That's the reason why I want to do comp-sci, probably one of the more useful minors available for jobs etc...I am not looking forward to the Math courses though, I wonder if Math 157 counts towards the same/similiar credits to Math 151? :P
Btw, is the Buec final cumulative? No right? and we SHOULD get a formula sheet? And I am assuming it's the same format and length as the midterm? I don't pay attention at all so yea....

Minor : You need to do all of this
CMPT 120-3* Introduction to Computing Science and Programming I*
CMPT 125-3* Introduction to Computing Science and Programming II*
CMPT 150-3 Introduction to Computer Design
MACM 101-3 Discrete Mathematics
MATH 151-3 Calculus I
CMPT 225-3 Data Structures and Programming
CMPT 250-3 or CMPT 275-4 One of Introduction to Computer Architecture or Software Engineering I
+ Phil100 or Phil120 or Tech101
then you need to do 15 units of upper level, so around 5 more courses?
So total around 39 credits which is around 13 courses over your 4 years.
(By the way, i'm thinking of concentrating in Computer Graphics and Multimedia since that's what appeals to me the most!)
