bahaha don't worry i fucked up too. im below the average and a little above pass :rolleyes: just gotta work harder towards next mt and ultimately the final. i think im gonna start skipping mei-jie's tutorial and start going to peter wang's. that guy seems to explain stuff way better. plus i think the reason why im doing horribly is because i dont understand wtf shes talking about in tutorials.

Yea, your in the same situation i'm in man...Mei-Jie is so hard to understand and her answers are all shortened so you can't even go over it at home after...I'm gonna start going to Georgi's office hours to ask him shit. Wish I did that before the midterm though.

How our class got a 71% average and the semester before ended up with ~40% average I will never know.. but I'm really glad I took the class with Georgi instead.

can be the explanation that summer people are "keeners" whereas the normal spring and fall term are just normal students, not as competitive.

^ I think it's mainly because the summer instructor is not curving the class that he is trying to teach more precisely and in steps. It also helps that the practice midterm was almost exactly like the midterm :).

exactly what I told you. camp at the office hours. even if there are a lot of people, just stand around and you will realize how much you don't know. this way, you can 1. steal other people's knowledge, 2. scope out what kind of competition you are going against, 3. get hints from the prof/TA when they get annoyed and want to get rid of you.

71% is a pretty good average, then again it doesn't really matter what the average is as long as you are on the right side of the curve.

i dont know why you guys are getting excited. shes a 5/10 AT BEST. shes flat as hell as well. i had a pretty decent looking bus 254 ta last summer though.

^^^ when i say decent, it only means relatively decent in the graduate class of about 30-40 people.

in that, 75% are guys, so you are left with only about 10 girls, and half of them are fobs.
