Does anyone know if you register for only 1 class do you still receive a upass? Or do you have to a be a full time student?

Volvoman 07-27-2010 09:36 PM

Does anyone know of any gpa boosting classes? Preferably 2nd or 3rd year crim, psyc or sa classes.

All crim courses are easy. Crim 315 and Crim 355 are the popular ones. Be prepared to argue in a circle. I'm also taking some 2nd year POL courses and they're pretty easy too. POL 241

I'm taking 199W distance education... the outline seems straightforward (one midterm, no final, a few short papers). Friends say it's fairly easy as long as you keep up (for DE), and have reasonable writing and reading comprehension skills.

So... I'm waitlist position 1 for a couple courses and position 2 for MBB 222. What do you think my odds are?

Jgresch 07-28-2010 04:15 PM

^ pretty good. I've been 7-8 a lot of times and got in. How many peopel in the classes?

carsncars 07-28-2010 04:22 PM

It's not the lecture thats full, its the tutorials... I'm 1 for CHEM 286 lab, 1 for BISC 102 tutorial, and 2 for MBB 222 tutorial.

Man it sucks that your reg date is that late... classes are pretty full this fall. :( I had a July 12 reg date but then had to shuffle things around hence my current predicament.

I found it managable. Never went to class or tutorial. Most of the art classes are pretty easy. You pick some framework/theory, show that you understand it and make an argument. If you are in sciences/math, the workload is very light.

Sweet, looks like I will register in French. You guys have really late registration dates. Mine was like on the 14th or something but you're all probably in your 1st or 2nd year.

And I recommend taking any Kin courses at the 100 level. No math. Kin 140 is super easy and Kin 110.

6o4_dc 07-28-2010 10:43 PM

Anyone here taken HSCI180 or Kin207? Any reviews of the courses?

are you taking pol241 next term, or have you taken it already?
i guess if i don't get into eng101 @ surrey then i'll keep it.
but i heard the prof for the upcoming fall semester is pretty good...longathan masilamani?
