BrRsn | 10-06-2010 09:50 PM | Here's some of my Favorite Jacky Li Posts.
This is the first post, after realizing the professors a bit of a loose cannon, Jacky li goes on a rant, on a message board the prof. specifically said she does not check Quote:

I am a second year student that is striving for a good mark in Archaeology131. However, your fast-paced "note-less" lecture, monotonic voice, and as mentioned by other fellow students, much uncovered material from the book are extinguishing my hope. I had nightmares about failing this course, really.
I understand that you are a renowned primatologist, as I have searched you on Youtube. You were on many talk shows and guess shows talking about Orangutans. I assume that you are very busy. However, we would really like to see you in more lectures and we deserve more answers from you other than those from the TAs. As you can see on the other threads, your TAs are trying to defend your reputation and are bombarded by some other students. This is very unfair to them.
This letter is to express my anxiety towards my grades. As I have seen on many other threads on Ratemyprofessors.com, many students complained about fake office hours. I hope that, maybe out of your 24 hours with orangutans and maybe other primates, you can take 30 mins to respond to some of our distreeses, please.
and I hope you dont fail me because of this letter.
Please and Thank You
Jacky | After the above post the whole topic kind of took off with other people who took this class because its an "easy A" and were upset because they'd actually have to buy the textbook and they'd actually have to read it.
So then Jacky sees the prof doesn't reply to his/her post, so Jacky just starts trolling, the following is my favorite "jacky troll" Quote:

looks like nobody gives a crap about this post Answer to Chris' question
Heres what I have from my own notes. Better than nothing but not exactly clear because I only wrote down what I was having some troubles with,
Absolute Dating Methods:
Carbon 14 dating – look at the radioactive decay of carbon 14 in a fossil
Potassium – Argon dating – look at the radioactive decay of potassium and argon.
Uranium series dating – look at decay of Uranium. It usually dates strata associated with the fossil and not the fossil itself.
RadioMetric Dating – Relies on the natural, clocklike decay of unstable isotopes of an element to more stable forms.
Fission Track dating – covers a wide range of periods. Can go from around 100 years ago to the oldest rocks on earth with fission track dating.
RadioCarbon Dating – primary technique for estimating age of organic items from the latest Pleistocene through present, including primate and human fossils. Radiocarbon dating can only be used on organic materials such as wood or bone. Useful for remains from the last 30 000 to 40 000 years.
I would focus more on radiocarbon dating as that is what the lectures focus more on (The last 30-40 thousand years). Jacky Troll-Li

If people are asking questions that are BODLY outlined in the textbook, either you haven't bought it our you're too lazy to write them down. In that case, there is no sympathy for people who are trying to take the easy route out. Stop worrying about all your problems with the course and get on with it; study what you can, listen to the lectures recorded and worry about the test afterwards.
And, Welcome to University. Jacky Li's AWESOME response

wooh, jessica looks like u know the book inside out!!! apparantly you are a very diligent and talented individual showing much athleticm in terms of studying. I guarantee you will score A+++ on this course!

| Yeah I know, it's not revscene level trolling, but come on, trolling on webct? its pretty funny because its unexpected. Here's another one of my favorite "Jacky Li Fob" responses,
The following is in response to someone saying something on the exam was in some random chapter of the book, basically some random suckup being told by motherfucking jacky li Quote:

sorry, i admit, i m too poor to afford a textbook. not that my family is financially challenged, but i jst pay for my books and not my parents. soo i dunno what the book's name is called so i put down biological evolution of primates. |
and then Jacky Li goes on ... Quote:
Dogs I remember. But reptiles? I really dont remember she talked about reptiles in her lectures. Maybe it is in the book. But again, the book is too expensive. I really don't have money for it because I am really out of cash. Moreover, "fittest" was considered a term. Can anyone tell me the definition of "fittest"?
| Give it a read, i thought it was full of awesome. |
