seriously though, why did SFU hire these dipshit fobs? I asked my fob TA for the attendance sheet today, and she was totally confused. My question was beyond her english capabilities. I had to change my question so that her answer would be a "yes" or "no". This is why I dont go to tutorials, can you imagine what'd happen if i asked her for help on an actual macm question? How'd you do on your assignment 2 btw? |
how was econ today guys:? what ch's did we do? did he announce a class average or anything? my Tutorial isn't until thursday |
I heard class avg is 57 Posted via RS Mobile |
I know this may seem like a noob question coming from a first year student, but you guys seem to have been at SFU for a while. It's getting close to that time where it might start to snow, and being on a mountain doesn't help when you have to take the bus everyday. Generally, what do you guys do if you have to take the bus home, but because of the snow they don't run? Just sleep up here or try to walk down even if it takes a while? If you do choose to sleep up here, are there any good spots? Thanks for the help. |
:lol personally, I wouldn't sleep up there. I'd probably just walk down. I mean, it's not ALWAYS that they get the massive snowstorm that stranded a crapload of people up there. And who knows? Next morning when you wake up, there may be a homeless person sleeping next to you (My friends told me their friend's experienced this, so, true story). A little bit of snow, they busses will run but you don't know when they'll stop service. So if you know there's a chance for snow, sit near a window and when it starts to look bad outside, start packing up. That's usually what I do. |

they use the mean + std dev for statistics and they reflect that with the grades. basically if you're within the mean +1std dev it covers 68% of the class(C,C+,B-,B,B+), the mean +2std dev it covers 95% of the class(B+/A-/A) and the mean +3std it covers 99.7% of class(A+) of the class. so the further you're away from the mean the higher the grade, if you're going positive. Those percents are also for the negative side, so if your within 68% and 95% or 27% of the students, that breaks down to 13.5% on the positive side and 13.5% on the negative side. so only 13.5% get B+/A-/A. it also depends what grade the prof makes as the mean score. don't quote me on this though, it could be completely off lol. |
it's more like $3.25 an hour to the maximum of $13 |

Therefore, you TA could have zero work experience prior or could be a totally useless piece of shit (socially) but really smart (academically) Posted via RS Mobile |
