Wow...SFU gave me a parking ticket even though my parking pass is hanging in my car.

I guess bad choice of words, I mean ECON is challenging, people under estimate it and you have to put a lot of work in it. Although the GPA requirement to get in is 2.3, the average in majority of those core courese over around 1.5 - 2.0. Econ is doable but just unecessarily way too competitive. But hey, if you think its your niche, by all means go for it : )

What makes econ so difficult for people? I received a C+ in managerial econ and I'm currently retaking macro (was young and slacked off first time around, currently retaking it and getting a B I believe). I'm still debating whether or not finish my bba back at bcit or pursue an econ degree at sfu :/

i wouldnt recommend a econ major. it is definitely a challenging faculty that requires a lot of work. if your math background is not strong, thats an even better reason not to do a major in it.

I heard some people end up becoming tellers after this degree.

Econ is a fine major. Depend on your profs, it will make your brain take shits it has never though it could take before. Good balance of "rational" thinking (which isn't really rational at all) and math skills.
Fyi, most people are in econ because they couldn't get into business.......
and although I'm sure econ probably has the same amount of retards in their classes, but due to the augmented interaction in business classes, you will shit bricks at how many incompetent people there are regardless of upper or lower courses.

Otherwise, no degree is going to guarantee you a job when you get out.
Sure people become tellers after getting an econ degree and most stay at that level, but if you have some sort of drive in you, you can do much better. You don't even need a degree to get out of a teller level and do something better @ the branch level.
