Is it that bad? I'm taking 232 now.. i've only ever been to two lectures.

Alphamale 12-02-2010 05:30 PM

It's bad if you have a shit prof. It's a breeze if you have Marie Rekkas.

It's nothing like 232. That's chump change.

So worried for the MATH 157 final. Choi seems to be making it fairly straightforward though (ten questions, with two being reworked questions from the two midterms, and the other 8 being on the material covered since the second midterm), but I'm not too confident with the curve-sketching, especially if he throws a crazy function at us to derive. Not too good with derivatives of trig functions either.

PavelGTR 12-04-2010 01:13 PM

Next sem for me is
econ 103
psyc 100
math 152
phys 120

Thrice 12-04-2010 09:01 PM

ECON 103 I'm finding is actually quite a bit harder than ECON 105, but if you put the effort in it shouldn't be too awful.

I agree, I found 105 to be much easier. I think it partially has to do with (imo) Ghosh being a horrible prof.

He makes simple ideas a lot more complicated than they really are.

Dudnyk has good notes for 103, but you have to have a really in-depth understanding of every last bit of material to do well. Her multiple choice questions are very fair, but some of the written can be tricky.

Looking back, I definitely could've pulled off a better mark with Sehic in 105 if I tried a little bit harder. I was quite lazy in the summer, and it showed in my grade.

I agree with 105 being easier (and more interesting IMO), but not necessarily because of the prof. I had a pretty bad prof for 105. Really hard accent, basically just read the slides, and a TA that spoke almost no English as well and I walked out with an A.

103 on the other hand I walked out with a B+ and I had a not great, but better than 105 prof, and a pretty good TA.

Jgresch 12-04-2010 10:52 PM

taking 105 next sem, 103 this semester. Prof is a joke lol
