I was the one of the first if not the first one to leave, I kinda gave up on that MCI shit and calculating phillips curve. Thats the one chapter I didn't really have notes on and it fucked me over. I guess I was busy on RS that class or smth... and I didn't have a textbook either, so last night I watched a few videos on youtube and did some googling but ended up falling asleep

You in junjie's? most of the test is in the stuff he taught in the last month IMO, AD/AS, Monetary/fiscal, MCI/MCP, Phillips, etc.

When are you taking it? I'm signed up for August 12... haven't started studying yet. :( Plus working M-F 9-5 (co-op) this summer so I'm not sure how I'll do... not sure if my SFU cGPA and ECs are up to snuff to be competitive anyways.

How many of you guys have friends you hang out with at school consistently? no "" jokes, its actually interesting to see because I think SFU promotes a solitary environment because there's no big group silent study areas/no nice areas open late etc. etc.
I do but I think that's more because it's ENSC and we're all holed up in Lab 1/Lab 4 all the time anyways. :( I guess that counts as a "big group study area" that's open 24 hours though, so I could see how not having a space like that would lead people to more solitary study.

Jgresch 04-20-2011 07:36 PM

There wasn't much on ch 1-11 then? Was it similar to the practice final?

We attend school and get off school. basically that's it and that's how its gonna be, unless you're very proactive and join clubs, do sports and etc.

There is some other factors like better programs and professors, but that's just a part of it.

Thanks for being one of the few people I've ever seen mention the need to be proactive. No offense to anyone, but it annoys me a lot when people complain about SFU having no student life, then right after their lectures are over just run for the bus stop or their car. University life here is what you make of it. Go to clubs day, get involved with your student union, apply to be an orientation or frosh leader, attend impromptu events (like the Vote Mob tomorrow for example) or galas/banquets/marketing events/etc. There is always stuff going on, and a ton of opportunities to meet people.

I think being in Business is great for student life as well. Lots of Business clubs to get involved in, many emails about events and opportunities from the SAO, group projects in nearly every class means you'll meet a ton of new people, etc.

Good luck!

I have the potential to get a good mark in my organic chem class. Exam is saturday 830am, I have a tutor on Friday @ 1:30 just to go over some stuff. Do I park my truck overnight in my friend's WMC reserved parking spot + sleep in the back for 5-6 hours, or do I drive home and drive back and waste 2 hours commuting (and as a result sleep 3-4 hours) ? hmmmmm

Of course, if I stay at sfu I'm going to do nothing but go on a caffeinated binge of studying .. wake up early and go brush my teeth in a washroom no ones in lol.

I could sleep pretty well as the seats fold down and I can stuff in an airmattress, or is that too hardcore?
