Which section?

G 07-15-2011 05:14 PM

C100, the first distance ed one. I think both are the same except that he/she separated into two different classes?

slacker90 07-15-2011 09:12 PM

Was today 4th year retards and jackasses registration day? Ridiculous, in a day they filled up half the spots in 300-level Econ classes. Have some shame and take 426 with Luelfesmann instead!

G 07-15-2011 09:28 PM

Today was my registration day, and yes, I am 4th year.. but I am not a retard :okay:

p.s. Fucking econ302 was full this morning after the 7:30 registration. Fuck. Now I gotta go to the advisor and get him to put my ass in that class.

Is the material in each course very different? Are they kind of easy courses? I'm looking to bring my GPA up a bit this term.

BrRsn 07-16-2011 10:26 AM

Fuck my registration date is the 27th ... I don't even wanna look @ my classes yet because I know its gonna turn me into a nervous wreck

How the fuck do classes fill up so fast then? It makes no fucking sense 3rd year students won't even have a chance to register for any 3rd year classes. I don't wanna be mean but it seems to me many of those who registered on Friday are retaking 300-level classes and taking our spots. Econ 302 is a different story 'cause it's more or less the last class you need to take before you graduate. But who the fuck can tell me how 51/90 spots in Econ 301 are already filled? At the same time 402, 426, 435, 455, and 482 are about half full or not even.

I am a big time slacker and don't have >3.0 CGPA but I can't see how it's even possible to fail an Econ class. Seriously those who fail a class should have a chance to register for it only after everyone else has had their turn. Fuck, I am gonna go to the advisor and tell him to get all re-takers out of my classes.

G 07-16-2011 12:49 PM

^

Well, truth be told, people are saving classes for their buds. Also, the 3rd years I know have their registration on Monday/Tuesday. When's yours?

From what I know, they don't have registration on weekends so if you have it on Monday it should be okay.

Do you know why 402, 426, 435, 455, and 482 aren't full or half full? It's because it requires 301 AND 302 and in some cases, 302 and 305. Most of the 4th years are leaving 302 to their last semester (like moi). Even when I had my registration date on Friday 8:30AM, all the 5 other 400 levels that only require 301 were already filled up. I was lucky to have found a loophole 400 level class that can fulfill the requirement. :)

Fyi, if you talk to Azam , or the other white lady who doesn't know shit about econ classes, they can't do anything unless your in the final semester. Tough luck!

In other news, I just got into 302 today from someone dropping! :) My suggestion is to check often to see if people drop the class. In some cases, check later at night at like, 1 or 2 AM when people drop the class for their friends to pick up. You might snag a few slow ones (Been there, done that, feels gooood:sweetjesus:).

d1 07-16-2011 12:51 PM

Realize that Econ majors only need to take 1 400 level course to graduate, all other core courses are considered third year courses so it's completely normal for a 4th year to take 300 level courses.

anne of green gables, stargirl, where the wild things are.

sparknotes anne of green gables, read stargirl. where the wild things are is a picture book so no real reading. i only read stargirl (which is actually pretty interesting and a short read) while i read like 3 chapters of anne of green gables and gave up since it was boring as fuck. the reading is pretty minimal.

also, it doesnt matter what section ur in if your doing DE.

G 07-17-2011 11:12 PM

^Sick.

Also, how hard are the quiz's / take-home exams? From what it sound so far it seems like a class you can get A+ in guaranteed.

Pretty much the only course I will get into this sem is Buec333.

QQ 301 305 will be full by the time I register (20 spots left and until tmr at 330pm)

Anyone got any upper div electives to recommend (besides that educ one)

I despise 336. Taking it this term with Johnson. Some people find it absolutely simple, but I hate stats.

And 384 doesn't exist. If you mean 381, pretty easy class, but two group assignments to do. If you mean 484, I'll cya there (if I don't drop it).

Tentative schedule is BUS 207, BUS 393 and PSYC 102. Might just take it easy and do that, or I might do BUS 484 as well.
