Yeah, apparently everybody loves Dinosaurs. I had a hell of a hard time enrolling in that class. Waitlist was always full as hell. It was surprising that I actually got in to the class.

I thought I loved dinosaurs too, but the endless power points and slides gets to you. I'm just damned glad that I finished the class today.

The final raped me though.

i still have my book, if you want to buy. but dbl check with prof about edition. :)

^ You can choose to memorize, but I did quite well throughout the semester using the information on my cheat sheet. The instructor basically allows you to TYPE anything you want on regular sized paper with ANY font size. Size 7 font can do you wonders. 45% of the class is based on the labs, while the other 45% is based on the midterm and the final.

I got raped in the final because I went in there thinking I could wing it. Unfortunately, it was much harder than the midterm. I spent my whole five hour break today in school typing up my cheat sheet, and I don't even think that saved my balls, lol.

Still a good class, nonetheless, though. I suggest you take it when they offer it again.

Whats the class average on the dinosaur course?

How was ARCH100 though?

beginning - boring, not very interesting. neanderthals, blahblah
middle - got better, early hominids, etc.
end - egypt, china, blahblah.

2 quiz, 1 slide quiz,
long lectures, watch videos sometimes.
s'okay, i went into the final with like <50 cause of the quizzes, but i pulled off a B for the final and ended up with a C+...or was it B-?

as long as you follow readings, or even get ahead ...then you'll be ok.

Robbie Dunlop is the instructor for the course. As for class average, I'm not too sure yet since the final was just today.

But I'm quite sure the class average isn't too bad. The midterm average was just horrible (I think it was at 60-63%), but it was only worth 15% of the class. 45% of the class is comprised of the lab work which is VERY easy. For the first four or five weeks of lab all you really do is watch videos and take notes, which you hand in before the midterm. If you do all the lab work with a bit of effort, you'll be fine.

Damn i'm choked that dino course isn't still offered.. I'm having a hard time arranging my schedule to fit in 2+ cmpt courses.. I mean.. They're almost all around 2;30 PM.. I want to finish my day earlier not at like 4;20.. T_T

^nope. Premium for premium spots. I didn't pay for parking today and got a ticket for $30. SFU parking/security can go eat a wanker. Meter-bitches don't skurr me.

you can always park at the visitor lot and stay at sfu until around midnight when the guy leaves. then you get free parking ;)
