Who was it that wanted to sell me their BUS 237 and 272 texts? I don't remember.

Also did you guys use that my MIS lab thing too last semester or is it new? Is it useful?

also, there are workshops you can attend. forgot what they're called, but basically people help you till you are able to complete your assignments (for free).

Different courses should have different assigned ones. IIRC, all courses will be a lab assigned to them.

I think bobbinka is refering to the optional math workshop held daily, where there are T.As to help you with your assignments/hw for free.

GrapeDrink 01-04-2012 12:01 PM

hey thanks for all the help and advice guys, I'm probably going to have to attend the workshops anyways I believe there is a diagnostics test and if you fail you have to attend a weekly session, and I am definitely going to fail lol.

Yup. Anne Elizabeth McDonald. They dun goof'd with the name.

I worked as a TA and now tutor for that class. Do your HW and read the book BEFORE tutorial and lectures!

MYMISLAB is required for the word/excel/access assignments and word/excel lab tests

^^ ahh do you recommend her? I didn't take accounting in highschool.. so I'm quite worried. I'm also taking another bus..course either 237 or 272 deciding which one to drop.

Depends. When I taught the class there were two profs: Anne and Steve.

Steve doesn't teach you shit. You have to pretty much learn it on your own. BUT his exams are slightly easier.

Anne teaches very well and is very knowledgeable. In the end both classes are curved so it depends on your placement within the class. If you have no understanding of financial accounting, take Anne's class. Financial accounting is all about following a format anyways. Nothing too hard.

272 is easier and less work than 237. Both are easy A's though.

if you ever consider following the accounting path, Anne is a very good prof. the material might be abit dry and boring, but she teaches very well.

as someone said, both 237 and 272 are easy.

in 237 - MIS, you learn what input/output devices are, lol (a mouse is an input, monitor is outpu). theres a good portion of the course about networks, but overall, it shouldn't be much of a problem

272 is just a bunch of BS, learning bout stuff that's nice to know, but not really worth $800 for a course, lol.

make sure you understand the debit and credit part. Plus balancing and transferring accounts and what Splmash mentioned. Other than that, it should be good

We don't need it necessarily but he said it's recommended, and $80? The book itself is $67 and comes with the code:fulloffuck:

edit: i think the code on my book has already been used, doesnt work :(

At least you have girls in your classes. Try a ensc or cmpt class. Sausage fest to the max.

Yeah I put it correctly, I bought the book off a friend so he probably used the code already. Would you be down to share yours?
