Hey .. I found it okay but the last question was a big WTF! I tried solving it and ended up with a calc formula where I was trying to minimize the value :fuckthatshit: And calc is not a prereq for this class so I'm pretty sure I fucked that up lol.

You know the question where you had to calculate B, everyone I talk to got an answer that was like 0.4 off ... thinking about it, I think he rounded off wrong because if you used the answer that was slightly off, you got all the rest of the calculations right (if that makes sense). :okay: I redid it with the number he gave as an option, and it was definitely wrong lol.

Some of the T/F was shit that we didn't even learn .. wtf is a dot plot :fulloffuck:

EDIT: I just realized that I didn't read that big ass chunk of text for the regression line question, maybe it explained that x is not explanatory variable and that y is not response variable (that they are switched) .. which would mean simply plugging X and Y into B = r * Sy/Sx would be wrong ... :okay: But that's some fucking next level trolling if he did that. That would explain why the answer on the exam was slightly off for that question.

cantona 02-03-2012 03:51 PM

Ya man last one I couldn't do it, just left it....and the slope and intercept one I was like y are my answer off lol, but I expected there to be less like theory and more calculation problems like the second last page using table A, and ya I was like fuck is a dotplot....scatterplot...

also the MC where you had to pick a X value to allow r= -1, was it the last option i where there was no value possible to?

I didn't know how to convert a positive Z value to a negative and I realized with a minute left  also did 1 question wrong 3 times before I finally did it right   it wasn't too difficult though I guess, especially considering I never go lecture

heh i guess we'll found out next week or so, also your in mbb right, course i dont recommend taking is mbb 427...a lot of material and fucking 8:30 am class, the only upper division that is stressing me out so far. I recommend 423 and 431 fairly easy compared to other ones and 431 is pretty dope with lynne quarmby

Hellios 02-03-2012 05:47 PM

Anyone know tutors for econ 305? I need one :(

Man there was way too many T/F on that imo, I was kinda lost for the last question too, just kept plugging numbers to see if it'd work. and yeah for the 3 part mc question, the second question's answer was not the exact value as any of the choices :S. That kinda confused me for the third question. Other than that I guess it wasn't too bad, just cant stand our prof, I learn more shit reading the textbook than going to his lectures and bearing with his fobby accent and random shouting when teaching
