Pro tip:
Those Psych surveys for like $5-10 are good if you want to eat out every week or two and you're in a pinch for cash. Do them all the time for free lunches, I've probably made over $100 in 2 years | Never tried either of those places. I didn't really stray from Donair Town/Tim Hortons that often.
I went to that Japanese place (spicy stone? or is that the chinese place?) next door a handful of times but the last couple times, the chicken has been disgusting so no more for me and I don't recommend it. Maybe cuz I'm white?
What do you have to do for those Psyc tests? I've always been paranoid that something might go wrong and I'll be messed up for life...

Those Psyc things are easy. See letter on screen through a bunch of symbols, find what letter is. They've added ones with dots and letters to make it harder too but you get paid more. Basically read and recognize things. If you're a gamer then you should be tuned to see these things haha. Easy way to make $.
Edit: Yes Gilgamesh it's near renaissance, closer to images theatre.

^ The Chicken was the cheapest thing, so I tried it. It is pretty nasty. I've been trying to stop eating at SFU, it's awful pricewise. I'm actually curious about the psych things, is it near the renaissance cafe and the AQ comp labs? Another tip for cheap drinks in nester's. No name brand cola (49 cents + tax+ deposit) and arizonas for a dollar and 4 cents.

+1 with the cola and arizonas. Really good for its price. I'm not a big eater so I just have a small portion of salad and a corn dog at nesters. I'm interested in the psyc surveys too.

Alumni Tip:
Look out for Economics surveys. They take around 30-45 minutes, but they shell out a lot of money. The last one I took gave out 25$. Easiest thing ever.

Any Econ majors ever have Emrul hassan as a TA or prof?
Also how's Eng 101W? is that the easiest W course? It's with Niall Mackenzie.
It's the last few days before I can drop so any help is appreciated.

It's the last few days before I can drop so any help is appreciated. | English courses difficulty level is variable dependent on prof. I took 104 few yrs ago with Sean Zwagerman, and got a decent mark. Doing your required Readings is the key to getting good mark plus getting help from your T.A. on your papers.

Log into webmail.sfu.ca then after a few seconds click on the MySFU tab at the top.
Click on your respected semester, then on one of the courses and then click View your Coursebooks.
Also, Simon Fraser University Bookstore - Textbooks |

It's the last few days before I can drop so any help is appreciated. | I am taking Eng 101 with Collete Colligan.
Expect to read 4 novels ranging from 300-500 pages within the span of 2-3 weeks. There are only 2 essays and a final though.
Lectures:
Pretty useless. It's just the prof rambling about her opinion of the book with meaningless discussions.
Final-I have yet to see it but so far the examples she gives in class are hard.
The outline is several mutliple choice, matching random quotes to the correct corresponding novel, 3 one paragraphed argument and an essay length question.
I'd say the class difficulty ranging from 1-10 is around an 8.5. Although I am currently getting at least a B+, I think the final will drop me to a C+.

Anyone taken Crim 301 with E. Boyanowsky? Wondering in terms of course content/difficulty.
Syllabus shows No final and your midterm grade can replace your grade for your final paper as well (Assuming you do well enough on it).
Debating whether to keep that or EDU465.

Debating whether to keep that or EDU465. | yeah take the course. boyanowsky is fucking hilarious. he randomly brings up sex jokes in the middle of classes or always tells some kind of sexual anecdote...hes an expert in sexual related crimes so that kind of makes sense i guess.
theres only 1 presentation that u have to do for the course and its pretty easy along with the midterm paper. noone had to do a final paper in my class of 30 just so u know. theres also like...no homework other than readings btw
educ 465 is super easy too if u do it distance. the distribution for A's in that classes was something like 40% of the class. i was able to score a A+ with just a little effort.

It's the last few days before I can drop so any help is appreciated. | Don't just look in Eng for W courses. Other faculties have lower devision courses with the W credit also. For example, Math 208W and 408W. You get the W credit for both but it isn't usual writing like essays and stuff where you will get docked on grammar and stuff...just a matter of explaining math concepts and procedures well and much more relaxed on the actual writing part.
I'm not saying to take those courses as you do need math background to do well, but see if there's some more interesting courses that still bear the W credit, and life will be much easier.

I just thought 101 was the best/most interesting one to take. Not sure whats left anymore. I'm trying to do the 9 courses to transfer over to bus.

I was planning on going into biomed, but never realized it was honours (not up for the challenge) so I may have to transfer to UBC next year unless it's honours there too.. |
