Yeah it's my first semester. I'm thinking of sciences, although it won't be any less tougher than engineering...but at least I know how the system works now. Hopefully course load won't be as large as well

I took 120 with cukierman from what I've read should be an easy class if i attend lecture/dont get fuckarounditis?

taking 120 right now as first year. its pretty easy. 3 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final. first two quizzes she chooses best mark of the two. cheat sheet for all quizzes and midterm. tbh if u just do the weekly lab assignments during lab time you'll destroy everything. lectures are pretty pointless.

Right off the top, thank you so much for coming out and making Friday’s rally such a SUCCESS! Our collective message of support and solidarity was delivered to Senior Administration, and as a result of our action, we have bargaining meetings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

Next week is going to be all about keeping the pressure up, and showing the employer that we won’t back down until a fair and reasonable contract is actually signed. To make sure that this recent movement on the Employer’s part isn’t a hollow gesture, we have a range of events planned for each day. Your participation is vital.

We will send out a detailed schedule of events on Monday. In the meantime, here is what’s happening on Monday:
Opening Ceremonies – greet the Employer’s bargaining committee as they arrive to the day’s negotiations with a silent protest. Meet at 8:45 am in front of the main doors of Bennett Library (Burnaby Campus). The greeting will take place on the 7th floor. Coffee and Doughnuts will be served.

Job Action – One critical source of next week’s pressure will be the broadcasting of our planned actions. We will have fliers printed with the schedule of events that we need to distribute. Come to the TSSU office (AQ 5129) to pick up a stack of fliers and help spread the word.

I'm in my 4th semester right now and starting not to like science. Going to try some business couses next semester to see how it goes and I might aim to switch into that if I like it.

I'm kinda bummed that I wasted so much time and money, and dropped my GPA so bad from getting raped in BISC and calc in order to come to this decision but I guess better late than never. I hear some people finish their whole degrees before they realize they don't like what they are doing

I'm in my 4th year at SFU kev and tbh the only thing that's started to motivate me in my last few years here is having an end goal. If you are just getting a degree to 'get a degree' you have no idea what kind of marks you need or what areas to concentrate your studies in, in order to eventually get a job/career one day.

Don't be afraid to take time off. No employer is going to say "omg he took 5 years to finish his degree" but they will say "you failed a class/your GPA is shit".

As much as instructors and everyone who has attended university wants you to believe everything isn't about your GPA, at the end of the day there's thousands of people with the same degree as you; Your GPA is your self-worth. Yes, if you can find a subject manner that genuinely interests you, achieving a high GPA becomes much easier, but the 'easier' classes aren't necessarily going to give you a higher GPA because at the end of the day you won't want to learn shit that doesn't interest you.

I'm in my 4th year and just declared my major now. I didn't even know what the hell I wanted to do until I took my first MBB class, which was in 6th semester at SFU. To take my first MBB class I needed to complete Bisc 101/Bisc 102/Bisc 202/Chem 111/chem 121/chem 122/chem 126/chem 281/chem 282/chem 286

I'll be honest, I fucking hated most of those classes but now i'm finally in MBB and I really like it and my grades reflect that

business is notoriously competitive. My friend got in with a 3.4 and my friend's brother said he barely got in two years ago when he internally transferred 2 years ago with a 3.1. I would email the advisor asap.

I also got raped by bisc and chem except math. 3 semesters of hating science courses and now I want to transfer computer science.

I'm in the my second year, and I want to apply for co-op next semester. In order to get in, do they look at my current cpga (after this semester), or next semester?

2. Strong communication skills as demonstrated by:

a. B* or above in BUS 360

b. Cover letter, resume, and mock interview assessment.

not in co-op but my frds in beedie are in it right now. Apply as early as you can, since you have mandatory co-op training programs to attend anyways. They do look at your CGPA, just check wil.sfu.ca, all info should be there. but the pain is that, the jobs you can apply must be from simplicity, not to mention paying up around 800/term since you do get credits anyways.
