What the fuck just happened?

Couple minutes after 12, I checked one of my classes to see if people actually "bypassed" the system. The seats and wait list updated, and I go check my class schedule and it says EVERYTHING is enrolled?

Even the bisc100 lab that I am waitlisted says I'm enrolled. I check the class status of the course and it still says 0 seats available, 2 on wait list(where I'm supposed to be 1st position).

Anyone experience this before? Hopefully it's not a problem, but it seems too good to be true..

PS: And the wait list system is supposed to go active around 2-3AM correct? I printscreened my schedule just in case.

Well that bus 360 class was a total waste of time.

And I am not surprised my prof didn't finish marking the research submission 2.

Hate this class because I don't even know my standing so far. I could be getting a C+ and I wouldn't know.

^ indeed it was. Felt like we didn't really learn anything. I'm not surprised either, I thought he was gonna give it back to us. It would of made the report workshop more useful. That being said, I think this prof does mark easier compared to the others.

They probably expanded the class. Either way your in the class, so yeah congratulations!

And for those worrying about "bypassing" the waitlist.. It works, but its not always 100% successful and not everyone knows about it.

You have a better chance of getting in the class when you are #10 or below on the waitlist (depending on your class) than actually "bypassing" the system.

So dont worry too much about this glitch/flaw.

i sniped like 3 easy as fuck online electives at 12 yesterday. feelsgoodman fucked over waitlist people. :)

arch 131. getting a B- probably even though I've been to four classes this sem. ling 100 with ivelina isnt hard either although she's boring as fuck

Who is correct finals? Is it similiar to Midterms so TA's are going to mark, or finals are marked only by main instructors. I need to know if 100% I will ask to view my marking or not. I don't trust TA's one bit. First semester and I have already been screwed up in 2 of my 5 courses by them

I believe the majority of the marking will be done by TAs, depends on the course and you should check with the prof to make sure

So my registration was on the 16th but two courses I needed were reserved until the 24th. But then when I tried to register now, the lectures for the courses are still open but all the tutorials are closed so I cant enroll in them. wtf? I talked to the advisor before too and he said these classes won't be full

If tutorial sections are full, the class is full. I think I had this happen to a friend once when he tried to register for a course but the tutorials were full and thus had to go on a waitlist.

Unless your advisor is psychic, he/she really couldn't tell you if the classes would be full.

It's always best to think ahead of time. Look at other courses you're planning on taking in the following semester that don't require any of the courses you're waiting for, and register in them now while you're waitlisted.

I'm at position 15 on the waitlist of a class that filled up slowly, so these people really aren't taking this class from an impulsive decision. With that said, this waitlist isn't moving. At all. So this morning I just preparing for the worst by registering in another math course :heckno: . Yeah, fuck math right but at least I have a fallback. I'm also waiting for IAT 103W to open up, and if it gets full before I'm able to register, I have HUM 102w to back me up :heckno: :fuckthatshit:

tl;dr: Have a back up course plan.

Honestly, I think he should mark way easier to compensate for his lack of preparation in class. Seriously, he just told us to read the booklet and went to get coffee. I wasn't sure what was going on so I just left 30 minutes after. This class is just a disaster.

I don't think I'll ever write a paper as "fun" as this one.

For some reasons I'm losing marks left and right to my courses, even sometimes when my solution is correct.
Darmn TA's. I miss BCIT. Everything was so straight forward and I didn't had to mind-read the solutions TA's use for marking in order to get all my marks, even tho my own solution gives the same result.

Yes, it is bothersome having to submit work in another person's format rather than your own, but if we put that into a different context, your employers aren't going to adjust to your submissions; you are going to have to adjust to your employer. The sooner we adjust to our markers' template, the sooner we can get the marks we want.

Also, moved up 3 waitlist spots in one of my classes :fullofwin: Hopefully no one snipes that seat bringing me up another spot on the waitlist.

How do you know your chances are getting dimmer, he hasn't handed any of our recently submitted assignments. Fuck this prof. I gave him an F on the prof evaluation.
