When I have a permit, I go to school almost everyday even on my day off to work out. If I don't have a permit, then I stay home and go to my apartment's gym instead of school.

But I think you can park at UniverCity for 2 or 3 hrs for free? Ain't that enough time for gym?

edit: bussing sucks, same feeling with you.

That's a good point.

Now I have another dilema. It looks like next fall term I will only have 2 days of school. And neither will be at 8:30 for the reduced rate in temp lot.

So not sure if it's worth getting a pass for 2 days only, or if I should just pay 7$ in the temp lot after 9:00

Did anyone at univercity parked for more than 4hrs without getting a ticket? I know the signs show 2 hrs, but how often does burnaby engineers go up the mountain to check parking spots?

^they check pretty often in the summer when the weather's nice

To CS Co-Op students: what was the experience like? I'm interested in applying.

Has anyone had George Zhang for Buec 232? Does he have a chinese accent?

You have no reason not to apply. It's long and tedious but it's going to be worth it in the end.

Agreed. They check pretty often when the weather is nice For example: I saw some guy checking G-Lot today. And yea if you only go to school, the temp lot is a better deal. Or is you really need to save money, you can park at univercity for 2 or 3 hrs, if you have a break, come out move your car to the temp lot.

Seeking this semester. The process is long and interview are very technical about your critical thinking so you better know your stuff. As far as the experience during the job? I'll get back to you on that.

Yes, you won't notice it over time. Usually TAs have thicker accents. Enjoy the high class avgs though :troll:

fs604 03-25-2013 08:00 PM

13.5 more hours until registration and spots for all my classes are in the single digits :okay:
its do or die

Yea no, I meant Burnaby Engineers for UniverCity parking (where it's 2h free parking limit). Also, the term in question is in fall (not taking anything in summer)

I know SFU parking is checking super often, they got nothing else to do. But Burnaby Engineers actually have to get a car up the mountain for only a handful of parking spots.

Yeah, but it's not bad. Sometimes he really gets into the material and will start yelling... Personally I find him a bit hard to follow along with when he's explaining things to the class, but he encourages questions.

Buec232 with Mike Johnson is really good

Anyone here took Bus 316, 315, or any 400 level finance courses ?

How difficult are those courses ? Are the exams/quizzes based on the assignments/samples or are these courses ones in which you have to " think outside the box".

By that I mean are the questions similar to the assignments/samples except that there is a twist in which you have never actually done before.

I am only interested in Finance or MIS. I need advice about these finance courses before I commit to this concentration and finish my degree.

I'm in 316 right now with Keyi Zhang.

Easy prof, easy midterm. Very straight forward and his exams are based off of his in-class examples and assignments. Nothing out of the blue or unexpected. Haven't taken the final yet.... but shoot me a PM in May and I'll let you know how that went (fingers crossed!)

Diana said she doesn't scale..neither does my macm, unlike other profs. Unlucky me.
My 150 mt was 30 marks that had two 12 mark questions. Didn't know how to do
one of them.. A bunch of people thought that question was hard so I hope a lot of people fail huehue
Did almost all the textbook questions but she put that question which only came up in an assignment with solutions posted the day before.. :okay:
would bet my family jewels I failed. Girl sitting in front of me said she got everything right so fuck.

how was your mt?

Been ticketed there once, to be fair I parked there for like 5 or 6 hrs though. I park regularly there for 2.5-3 hrs every wednesday @12:30 and never been ticketed or even chalked for that, maybe they were off to lunch.

Fcukedd 03-27-2013 09:58 AM

Going to park there for 3.5 hours today around 12ish. Hope I don't get a ticket :fuckthatshit:

wuuhoo 03-27-2013 11:29 AM

if you guys do park there for 2 hours +. My suggestion is to park further up a bit, so it seems like you are a "resident" lol.

They do check. I have seen their car, cars with tickets and chalked tires. Just be careful lol
