Enjoy your coop! I learned sooooo much over my 3 co-op work terms. Amazing experience and depending on your company, some give are there to teach you stuff and expose you to as many new things as they can.

3klipze 04-03-2013 11:59 PM

^ where did you have your Co-op placement at? I've heard good things about it as well from my friends.

Didn't expect to get so many questions, hope i got to most of your questions. Keep them coming if you are curious.

I am curious, what actually really happened? First I thought she was gonna back out of that spot but put in drive instead of reverse so it happened. But then if you look at how the wheel is turned, it's impossible, because if the wheel is turned that way, she wasn't heading out of B-lot.

Girl with a nice Mercedes with an N crashed  while on the other hand, my mom won't even let me touch her BMW! :okay:

yray 04-04-2013 04:08 PM

^nice Mercedes :lawl:

prob tried turning in to park, noticed not enough power from letting it idle to move in and then put in to much gas to ptfo into the spot

happens with 7G tronic trannies, idle doesn't move the car much in Comfort mode

is350 04-04-2013 04:26 PM

Any car that the typical average college student can't afford is "nice" to me, that means probably almost any cars that are over $30000 lol unless it's a used bmw, audi or mercedes that is 15-25k.

yray 04-04-2013 04:28 PM

^stay away from convo visitor :lawl:

is350 04-04-2013 04:46 PM

let's rephrase my sentence with "girl with Mercedes".

I wonder what kind of cars professors drive? The only one I saw was Tony Leyland who was in the TA strike video driving a Hyundai Santa Fe.

Going to miss my IAT 103W class because i know that I'll never have another class as easy as this one :okay: :alone: :QQ: :tears:

Messerschmitt 04-04-2013 06:45 PM

Automatics are dumb anyway. Real men (and girlz :P) drive manual.

IAT 103W is that easy huh? Maybe I should look into it :P

is350 04-04-2013 06:50 PM

^true, manuals are fun when you take it out on the weekend for a drive. But if you spend quite some time in traffics and going uphills, automatics might be less stressful.

Geoc 04-04-2013 07:26 PM

hey 3klipze, what company and what position? I am trying for coop too.

Yeah the course itself is really easy. Since it's an IAT course it teaches you how to work in a group, and since it counts as a W credit there's a 1500 word final at the end. No midterms, or final exam :fullofwin:
Ben's a really good instructor too. He goes the extra mile to make class fun. I'm also pretty sure he's a redditor, since some of his slides have pictures that were on the front page a few hours before lecture.

I definitely recommend it to you if you're taking tough courses and need three hours in the week to just relax and still get a good mark in the end.

Messerschmitt 04-04-2013 10:22 PM

Good stuff, thanks for letting me know.

Unfortunately IAT I believe is only in Surrey. Also isn't it reserved to IAT students? Therefore very hard to get in? Maybe in my last year...

I don't even notice :P. Uphills is super easy using the handbrake. And in traffic is super neat to just leave it in 2nd or 3rd and get engine breaking for the next set of lights/traffic

areyounoob 04-04-2013 10:27 PM

Yes it's reserved until the open registration date. I got in because I checked it religiously.

kevin7352 04-04-2013 10:37 PM

@dhillon09

love the attention to details. nailed it phaggit

10/10

is350 04-05-2013 06:37 AM

Was sad last night because my insurance expires today. Got up today to find out that I got enrolled into a course this morning from #2 on the waitlist last night :woot2:
switched tutorials 3 times including the one time yesterday because one tutorial's waitlist was dropping faster than the others. I guess it all paid off at the end.
