does anyone know how the parking system works at the mall at SFU Surrey? I was a little late in moving my car and received a warning.

I've been hearing stories such as you get 3 warnings before a ticket. And does anyone know how they record your car information and confirm it 3 hours later?

I parked there on Saturday for 6-7 hours and never got a ticket, even though all I did was walk through the mall to get to SFU.

First time at Burnaby campus in ages.... Forgot about that Long walk :( final at 12 then I'm done for the semester woot

Hey Comp-Sci guys,


I got a CSIL fob this semester because I was taking a CMPT class. Will the fob still work next semester (not in any CMPT classes/not CMPT major) or is it just useless after this semester?


BTW, 3 final exams within 1 day you have to let the prof know within the first 2 weeks of the semester. I got fucked over last semester and my profs all basically told me "tough luck, shoulda told us sooner" :facepalm:

mines on friday lol.. bombed macm, and i'm really hoping I don't bomb this final too.. :okay: its worth 60% nowcuz our midterm 2 marks were disappointing enough that Cukierman voided it LOL

how is cukierman for upper division classes?

She seems really eager to teach but her lectures I found useless (CMPT 120 btw)

its for cmpt 150 (Computer Design) but yeah.. she's pretty useless. She's quirky and enthusiastic but her powerpoint slides have just the minimum info. Tests are fair though, based off her useful assigments. And she brought timbits last class.

I think the fob works as long as your a registered in a CMPT class. Still have my card from first semester and I'm using it again this semester.

I gotta get a decent mark for 150 to keep my gpa up, don't want to head back into ap lol but got a extreme headache atm and feel a fever coming fml can't focus or study :(

Anyone knows how grading in MBB courses work? Specifically MBB 201.
I asked the prof how the grading works, she always gives a vague answer like study hard, you will get what you get lol...

Basically mt 1 and mt 2, I got 53% and 54%. Class average is 64% and 66%. There is also in class quizzes, I'm also below average. Only thing I'm on par the average is team activity and tutorial marks. If I score my final exam with another 55%, can I at least pass with a C? Or can anyone tell me what grade am I approximately at based on the fact that I'm mostly 10% below class average.

Science classes, standard deviation = ~10%
Average mark = C+


Getting 10% under average puts you at a C or C-

Then again all depends on the class. If there's people getting perfect on exams you're fucked lol
