I asked the prof how the grading works, she always gives a vague answer like study hard, you will get what you get lol...

Basically mt 1 and mt 2, I got 53% and 54%. Class average is 64% and 66%. There is also in class quizzes, I'm also below average. Only thing I'm on par the average is team activity and tutorial marks. If I score my final exam with another 55%, can I at least pass with a C? Or can anyone tell me what grade am I approximately at based on the fact that I'm mostly 10% below class average.

Thanks in advance!

TA said that they'll "friendly" scale it. No idea what this means but take it for what it's worth.

Did you look at study guide? 12 pages hahaha. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I don't know what the profs and TAs are thinking tbh, mts and final are MC questions, who's gonna freaking read the textbook and analyze everything. I know for a fact if I study hard for my other exams, I will actually do well. But for MBB 201, no, the more I study, the more confusing the MC questions will look.

And I don't like the fact that the profs and TA make everything including exams and grading so vague. Seems like playing gaming with the students. At least give us a grading scale, and say it may adjust accordingly...

CMPT165 Exam.. M/C was so tricky for me.
Anyways, I regret taking this course.. I don't recommend this course if you have zero experience in html/css/python for a sci credit (or I thought to be GPA booster)

Time to study for BUS207 now..

I actually have Kin 205 tomorrow. Pretty worried about it..

but yeah, I agree. Their MC questions tend to be application type questions, yet they barely relate info to application. That's what always gets me. Won't be touching MBB until Friday. Got other exams to study for.

good luck man! Gina Whitaker, peter ruben and that andy hoffer dude? I hope she gave you guys the study guide as well. The study guide is actually useful, make sure you know the answer to each objective then doing the exam won't be a problem. And I think I might know who you are.

I didn't know the question on how you write the URL for python (10 MARKS GEEGEE). I just followed the html/css and drew it.. not sure how accurate haha

ph0 04-15-2013 11:52 PM

Some of the multiple choice questions helped with the written one just like the one you just said about the query URL. The answer I think is .htp://cmpt165.csil.sfu.ca/~myUserID/Music/Script/Music.py?genre=Rock&genre=Jazz&genre=blue&submitBu tton=Submit but I forgot the submit part :okay:

What is the parking ticket cost from burnaby engineers if you pay within 72hr or whatever it is?

RacingMetro92 04-16-2013 09:22 AM

Financial accounting is going to destroy me. I'm looking at this stuff and it makes sense, but looking at the sample final my brain goes :fulloffuck:

Currently at 6th floor library...probably stay here until 2-3. Eat lunch, come back until 8-9, dining hall until 1ish, study some more at library then have a couple hours of sleep at the AQ.

Are you here? I'm on the window side beside the SFU pond. No noise :fullofwin:

ph0 04-16-2013 12:28 PM

In the cmpt lab, not to bad if you have headphones so you don't hear all the keyboard noises. Back to studying, just took a power nap :fullofwin:
