if you can, go to SFU surrey for the fall. When December comes around, and its snowing, its going to be PITA just to get to campus. Unless of course you plan to drive :p

@Fcuked: If you dont do DD, you will be mailed a cheque for the grant. Why wouldnt you want to DD it?

Some of what foreveryours said are very true. But taking pictures of new textbook or parking down the hill is really a pain in the ass. Either you drive all the way up or none at all. Plus you have to either stand at a bus stop waiting for 135 or 145. Just personal preference. But UniverCity parking is a good option.

Sometimes it all comes down to opportunity cost.
I can take a picture of every single page of my 400 page textbook is around 40-50mins and save $200+ which is not bad (think of how many hours of work you'll have to pay the damn books off)

Even though it is a burden taking pictures, having to meet with people to buy a used textbook and trying to get rid of it after takes much more time and you may even lose money if you can't sell the book afterwards
PLUS I'll always have a copy of the book handy in case I need it in the future and I don't have to carry it around :fullofwin:

mwoo 06-04-2013 02:33 PM

go get a book printed lol it'll cost you like 5 bucks

ForeverYours 06-04-2013 02:39 PM

What do you mean? Like scanning every page of a book and get it printed?
That would take such a huge amount of time...

mwoo 06-04-2013 03:19 PM

theres a place at sfu where you go get it printed, you don't do it yourself. my friend did it for a textbook and it cost him like 5 bucks :O

areyounoob 06-04-2013 03:51 PM

:suspicious: How big are your guys' textbooks

I don't think the 5th or 6th are that bad either. They're "ghetto" but they're not dirty imo.

The big one beside c9001 was my go to washroom. This was when it was pre-reno too :fuckyea:

Saywell / Blusson hall as well as the other ones in hsci are not bad either. If you look hard enough, there are a few single washrooms with showers in them :accepted:

I'll be going to or will be at fight club all day till about 4:30PM.

Tried the cornerstone printing. For my book, 280 pages cost 12 bucks for my midterm material. Printing the whole book 500 pages cost 20 bucks, not 5.

That's still substantially better than paying retail.

None of the computers in CSIL run windows?

areyounoob 06-06-2013 08:06 PM

You have to restart the computer and then choose Windows from the GRUB selection screen.

Jgresch 06-06-2013 08:07 PM
