If you have credit for 120 you don't need 128, just take 125/126. 128 is 120 and 125/126 combined into one semester. 225 is advanced data structures and algorithms-linked lists, stacks, recursion (so you need MACM 101), sorting algorithms, etc.

well i was thinking, since i can take either 125/126/128, 128 has topics in cmpt 225 as they're both data structure and algorithm heavy. Might make an easier transition into cmpt 225?

Basically I'm just asking if cmpt 128 is a lot harder than 125/126 lol

BUS 303, 393, 336, 343 (did I dun goofed?)

Any GPA booster recommendations? Took Crim101/103 Arch100/130 before.

I took 303, 336, 360, 312 during Spring. I felt that it was manageable because I had Bob Korth for 303 (I don't think hes teaching Fall 2013). We only had 3 case analysis write ups, 2 homework assignments which took very little time to complete and no exams. I don't think the other professors are that light in terms of the course assignments/exams. 336 with Michael Johnson is relatively easy and the assignments, exams are straightforward. Good luck!

^ Which profs did you take for 360 and 312?

I took 360 with Eric Tung and 312 with George Blazenko. I would recommend these profs because Eric tries to help you with the assignments if you go to his office hours. For George you have basically open book MT and Finals so its really easy.

Anyone doing a joint major or knows someone that is/has?

I'm trying to decide between Business + IAT and Business + Comp Sci and would like some opinions or hear about experiences. IAT sounds like it would be more enjoyable, but comp sci might compliment business more. Any input?

I find that although IAT is a lot more enjoyable than comp sci, it's so broad and covers so many fields that it never really specializes is any one thing (compared to other majors). For that reason, I would say that comp sci would be more useful.

Then again, I suppose it depends on what you want to do in the end since IAT covers more than just programming and computer stuff. If you want to go into design or media arts then IAT would benefit you more so than comp sci

I have a question for some of you science guys,

Is there really a direct relation between CHEM122 (lecture) and CHEM126 (LAB). I believe they are to be taken concurrently with one another.

And also, how is STAT201 in terms of work load and "easiness"?

I'm contemplating whether to take 3 or 4 courses, but the 3 I'm planning to take have a pretty heavy load already.

Stat 201 is somewhat math based. The workload is not heavy but when I took it with scott pai, I needed to do weekly homework kind of like in math 154, 155. The course material is basically about normal distribution and different statistical techniques such as chi square, ANOVA. The course is managable/doable. Sorry I'm just rambling, I have a class coming soon.

Says pre reqs have haven't been required but I already have them. Wow I hate course registration ...

Any opinions on Matadeen or Dasgupta for BUS 207?

Matadeen has bad hand writing and his exams are tough.

I took 207 with Dasgupta last semester, her midterm is definitely fair, but final exam was brutal (somewhat fair.....). The material in 207 is definitely not easy, and it takes quite a bit of time to learn. The TA's she had were very helpful during office hours. That being said, I messed up badly on the final, so I received a really low-mark for her class.

Probably the hardest lower-division course out of all.

What are the UG course fees for? :S Getting charged that on top of tuition fees for BUS 254 and BUEC 232

oops, forgot to mention; its either STAT 101, STAT 201 or STAT 203. Do need one more out of that list which could be a math.

Even looking at the cmpt project stresses me out... 2 papers and a project due on the last week... fml...
