Math 157 isn't too bad, just requires quite a bit of time and practice.

Anyone ever take BSIC 100 Distance Ed? I'm looking for an easy course...
Also most people say don't take BUS 254 and BUS 207 together, but if I'm only taking 3 courses it shouldn't be so bad right?

Statistics mainly involve basic algebra and the ability to succintly follow instructions. If you do indeed take mathematics, I would imagine that it is ore-calculus which is not so bad. What are your math requirements? Because if you did well in Math 11/12 in high school, pre-calculus won;t be so bad.

That being said, I messed up badly on the final, so I received a really low-mark for her class.
Probably the hardest lower-division course out of all. | Thanks. How did you find her notes? Read the only 2 SFU reviews on her and both said her notes were useless. Her UBC reviews said she makes a lot of mistakes in lectures and assignments and marks unfairly. They were kind of old though, so maybe you had a better experience.

^ Yup she does make quite a few mistakes in her lectures, and her handwriting is sometimes hard to read.
I didn't have to hand in any assignments (that were for marks). There was weekly homework assigned (for practice). The class consisted of two midterms + 1 final.

They were kind of old though, so maybe you had a better experience. | There's no lecture slides or online notes that you can rely on. He just comes in and writes alot of notes( you have to keep up it) and he has a British accent which at times can be hard to understand. If you did good on econ 103/105, you should be fine for this course.

For those who've taken BISC101, do you remember if there's 2 lectures; one lasting an hour and the other 2 hours?
I thought the 2hr one was just a scheduled midterm, but it is conflicting with my physics course.

FYI I suck with numbers in general | Stats would be the easier choice. Easier to learn and utilize, and is more interesting imo.

Can somebody recommend me some good studying places | If your going to the Surrey campus, go to the library , it is really comfortable silent and clean.
At Burnaby campus, i always study at the Shrum science centre near C9001 (majority of my classes are near there). They have a lot of chairs and desks there but it is not too quiet.

TASC building god its the best for studying AQ upper floors are a close second. Please don't bring your friends. Let's keep it as the best studying spot.
AQ 4 and 5 washrooms are aged and old, but the writing on the stall walls make them worthwhile. They're also very empty almost all the time, so if you ever need to drop a quick deuce and can make the trip, definitely head there. |

Studying? ,
but location wise, library is pretty ideal for all three campuses
Burnaby: MBC Undergrounds, West Mall Atrium/ Ground Floor, 'Fight Club' (during finals), RCB 'dungeons', and as mentioned above TASC
Surrey: Hog a team room
Harbour: 7th Floor Rooms

They really need to install air conditioning in the library. Twice in a row I came to the library after going to the gym, sweating like a m'fker. On the other hand, the computer lab near the cafeteria is cool.

Seminar is just a lecture that is smaller, it's basically the same as a lecture but the class is only 20-30 people so they call it a seminar
As far as education classes, I have no experience with them so can't say
