Any route other than Gaglardi. University drive W (the road when you turn left at the bus drop off that goes underneath the school) is still open going downhill, and I assume it will stay open until the resident parking exit. When I drove my car up I'd turn right off of Gaglardi onto University Drive E, follow that until Tower Rd (that leads to B lot) and take the first left off of that which I think is University Drive S, then another left at the end to get to the underground lot.

Wouldn't be surprised if SFU is closed tomorrow.

A little update on the weather situation up here:

Several cars and buses completely stuck

People abandoning their cars

You can tell some cars have been here for a while. Covered with snow.

stupid bitch dinged my car door while I'm in the car reading my notes. Assholes these days, can't you just hold your door and squeeze out of your car like I always do to others. Never parking in tight spots again, I'd rather walk some distance and park far away than getting dinged.

^you will get dinged everywhere. The spots at SFU are too small and the drivers are way too distracted. Someone scraped the entire front corner of my bumper when I parked perfectly in the lines. Fucking morons everywhere

Yea, that's why I say if there is no rain, park far away so it's unlikely someone will park beside you. Women...

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me anything about the Business Career Passport. All I know is there are 6 workshops that I have to complete before I can graduate, I was wondering like how much prep if any I need to do for these workshops? I see they are 2 hours each so I don't wanna go and fail or some shit lol and have to do it again.

Just don't be over 15 min. late or they won't let you in. It's mostly just powerpoint. Also, read the email that they send you the day before the workshop because that will tell you what you need to bring (for example: the networking workshop - you need to wear a suit, resume workshop - bring resume etc..)

Has anyone taken BUS 254 with Arsineh?

Wondering how her exams are and what I should review. There are parts in the text not mentioned in the lecture, and I'd like to avoid those if they aren't necessary.

She initially said to learn everything in the textbook, but in the most recent lecture, she said to study the lecture slides (and see relevant textbook parts for clarification). I emailed her about it and she went back to studying everything in the book... but I know most profs will say that anyway.

If you remember, did you find there were exam questions based on material not taught in the lecture?

What are we expected to know for the midterm, and what do I need on my cheat sheet?

Did an Information Systems Joint Major BBA with a concentration in MIS. Currently working in tech consulting at a Big 4 firm. The MIS courses are enough to get your feet wet if you plan on going into the IS/IT industry. You will be no where near what you should be by the end though. Even as a half CMPT student, I don't feel nearly prepared enough when I started my job. Either way, I would suggest doing it. As information systems continue to grow, you'll have to understand how they work at one point or another.

I only took Bus 237 and felt it was pretty interesting. Is there a lot of coding involved for upper MIS courses/ related jobs?

^ no coding in 362.

Depends on the position, but usually most if not all the coding is done by the developers and or programmers. MIS degree means you will likely be working in IT Consulting, IT Project Management, BA or QA, none of which will expect you to be the technical guy. Two of my friends are at Deloitte Consulting, and neither do any coding afaik.
