I've already completed the math equivalents to math 151 and 152 which I will get transfer credit for. So Ill be able to use 151 as the pre req instead of 157 for buec 232 and bus 207 for sure? Will the go.sfu site let me register for the classes as I have credit for math 151 or do I need to get math 157 pre req waivered before it will let me enroll?

Yep, you will be able to use your math 151 credit as pre req for buec 232 and bus 207

Last year, my first year, I took three courses each semester and worked two jobs, somewhere around 30-40hrs a week. Don't do it.

math 157/151/154/150. So please let me know if I can use Math 151 as the Math pre req for bus 207 and buec 232 instead of math 157. Transferring from another school and have transfer credit for math 151 and math 152(which was brutal)

Math 150/151/154/157 are all equivalent.

no, i just never took it to begin with, ask kevin if he still posts. We took math 154 together, then I ditched him in math 155 after attending 2 weeks of classes and realizing .. "yeaahh I can't do this with 4 other classes" lol

177 07-03-2014 09:01 AM

Is there a way to register for a class to save a spot without the pre reqs, and then enroll when the pre reqs are approved ? My reg date is on the 8th and I want to reg for bus 207, but I don't have the two Econ pre reqs on my transfer transcript as I just completed the two Econs at ufv and am getting my marks in about a week, and they got my transfer transcript in January so it's not updated. so I was just wondering if there was a way you could let me register for a spot in the class, and then get enrolled once sfu gets the approved transcript.

I'm graduating in 5 years 1 semester. Took me this long due to fuking up first year, not being able to get in my courses, and 3 courses each sem.

Friend did 5 sem of coop and is graduating in the summer = 6 years.

anxiety 07-06-2014 03:53 PM

my parents have been giving me shit for not finishing in 4 years. they say they can't talk about me with their friends, how their friends' children finished in 4 years blah blah blah. For god's sake, I have worked part time during my entire 4 years to try to pay off my student loan, plus I haven't taken a single summer off since even high school. /rant

Not saying I didn't slack off, but I don't deserve what they say to my face repeatedly about not finishing in 4 years. Is it really that big a deal?

I have already told them 5 years is normal just like I expected from the answers that I have got, still keep bringing the topic up again and again and how embarrassed they are.

I took Phil100 Spring 2014 w/ Dr. Mc, the course isn't too bad, readings don't take too much time and I only had two essays, midterm, and a final. I've found with Phil, your writing in your essays has to be straight forward. There's little room for creative writing and doing so will usually hurt your mark.

Anyone taking any upper division CMPT courses? I'm planning on taking Network 2 (CMPT471) and QA course (CMPT473?) in Surrey for fall semester. Maybe some electives as distance ed.

As some of you said, I wont have a life doing full time distance ed and working. I'm still deciding if I should do it. Depends if I finish all my core courses according to my schedule I guess...

areyounoob 07-09-2014 10:15 PM

:okay: The one time I'd actually prefer morning classes is the time when the courses I want are in the afternoon

Spoiler!
