Newton isn't the greatest prof, because he assumes we're all idiots and/or fob (I was one of 4 non Chinese people in that class), but his class is easy.
ASC 102 is also a cakewalk. Just read, study lecture slides, and youre golden. I took that class in the summer when tetris battle came out...bad idea- got a C+ when I could have aced it if I just paid more attention. | The 300 one I'm referring to this semester is taught by Naoko Kato.
I'm not sure if I want to take 102 (Newton) + 300 (Kato), or 102 + 202 both with Newton.

Haven't taken a class with Koto, but just by reading the syllabus, it's a lot harder than what I went through.
Newton is really dry but his classes are pretty basic if you can write and analyze. It's up to you, but I took 201 and 102 with him and found them to be easy (I'm also a history major so the classes were so meh that I only put in effort when I needed.) So it's a tough call, but if you want to jack your GPA up then I'd say do it.

^ Take whichever course has no FINAL. I've taken 2 distance ed courses both were POL in the summer time, no final but that means higher % of the grade goes towards the midterm and online discussions (posting on a forum) which are easy enough. As well as essays or assignments you submit online.

Buffon - I decided to take it with Christian, just not sure which day (wed, thurs, fri)
Kunonman - Starting 4th year but I'm 1 year behind (After 360, 320, and 381 I will be finished all 3rd levels)
Is ASC102 a GPA booster?

Ya I really have to take 360. I keep putting it off because I was waiting for a decent prof but it looks like that won't happen. 38 people in the wait list for Eric's class... lol
4th year but still have to finish some 300 level courses.
Are you taking 360 with Kevin?

I know that they usually add more spots than the original 30 for 360 so I'm gonna try getting in 360 with Robin. Surrey is way too far for me lol. Although, I'm not even sure if Elliott is better/easier than Kevin. No reviews for him.
I'm taking 343 too but the one on Friday
I guess you can enroll in a class that's open and wait list yourself for the same class with a different prof/time. Just did that for 360 lol. Hopefully it works.

gg | I'm in E103. Wait listed and got in a couple of hours ago. Lots of people move around, so I suggest you waitlist one of the earlier three if you don't want a gap.

Classes:
bus 251 elizabeth macdonald
bus 272 zorona svedic
bus 232 andrew flostrand
hist 101 john harter
for the people who have taken these classes with the same prof, do I need to get the textbook for the class? only asking as most profs I've had did not use the textbook even though they said it was required, they used their own notes, just don't want to spend extra money if not needed.

That and I learned a hell of a lot more from the book than in lecture. 272 I used the book alot (different prof though), 232 (also a different prof) hardly used the book

272 with zorana u need the textbook for the quizzes. there is also a pdf of the older edition that u can find anywhere online. this is useful for ctrl f-ing the quiz questions, although some of them u will not be able to find (wording discrepency between editions).
I took it with her last sem and got an A. Even though quizzes are open book and u can ctrl f some questions, i found that it was quite difficult to get perfect every time. For midterm and final, all u have to do is memorize the vocab list that she provides. And pray that u get a decent group for the presentation.
