I took it with her last sem and got an A. Even though quizzes are open book and u can ctrl f some questions, i found that it was quite difficult to get perfect every time. For midterm and final, all u have to do is memorize the vocab list that she provides. And pray that u get a decent group for the presentation.

Oh lord my 272 group...had a group of 3 instead of 4, then one of them dropped out two weeks before the presentation :heckno: and the other wrote at a questionable level

Has anyone taken Phyc 102? I haven't taken Phyc I before but it wasn't on pre-req. Should I drop it and take something else?

Jgresch 07-26-2014 01:29 PM

I took psych 100 and it was pretty interesting. Few years ago though. Haven't done 102 though.

Be prepared for lots of memorization. I had a hard time in that course due to the amount of content that was taught throughout. If you're trying to fulfill elective credits I think you'd be better off taking something else.

What electives do you guys suggest to take alongside with chem 121 and math 154? I've tried the ones that some of you suggested the page before but they're all waitlisted or closed so those are no go for me.

Phys 101, Bisc 101/102, kin 142.

I'd like to stay away from any of the core courses that I need for internally transferring into the Kin program as they only take the GPA of those core classes.

Already finished bisc 101/102, kin 142, and Phys 101 doesn't work with my schedule as i'll be in surrey during the only open section of that...

Anyone else have any other suggestions of easy electives?

I took MACM316 with Gostaf this semester, and it was a lot easier than MACM 201. The assignments weren't hard at all but it took me huge amount of time. Weekly Tutorials helped a lot as well. The prof allowed cheat-sheets for exams and it made a lot easier for me.

Yeah Psyc 100 was pretty tough for me, taking 102 in fall cause it's required :'( not looking forward to it.

Not the first time I got screwed over by the bell curve. Got 86% and ended up with a B+ in a computer science class. I hate this system

jif_eater 08-15-2014 10:03 AM

so i'm 2nd on wait list for lecture, and 1st wait list for both tutorial and lab for CHEM 281. I emailed the chem advisor and she told me to enroll in the surrey lecture instead. Should I do that and just attend the burnaby lectures?

don't worry, you will get in, I'm 99% sure. there will be at least one person dropping during the first week of class or before.

Infinitii 08-15-2014 06:07 PM

Just got a successful enrollment into a class that was completely full... it shows up on my academic progress and shows the class capacity at 60 but enrollment total at 61... just a glitch? This happen to anyone?

Shayan4440 08-17-2014 01:54 PM

I enrolled in bus 254, bus 207, bus 336 and bus 202. How hard is this semester and would switching bus 254 for bus 343 make it easier?

Purely 08-17-2014 03:53 PM

Not sure what's bus202, but 254, 207, 336 together isn't going to be a fun semester.

Bus 202 is a course that students that transfer into Beedie must take (equivalent of bus 201 for high school students coming in their first semester). There's no final exam for that class, but there is a lot of teamwork stuff. Are there are a lot of weekly assignments for these classes?

Bus 254 - Masood Kamlani
Bus 207 - Karen Ruckman
Bus 336 - Michael Johnson

If anyone knows anything about these classes with the profs I mentioned, could you please summarize what the class will be like and some of the things I will face? Thanks!

yoswa 08-22-2014 12:50 AM

any econ major advice? or is econ major for shyts and giggles? tl;dr couldnt get into beedie but got into FASS with intended econ major.

Also few questions

how is ASC 102 with Michael Newton? are midterm/final based on written response?

Best econ 103 prof?

Also any easy elective suggestion? preferably for 1st year to get used to.
