Math 157 with Abraham Punnen? how is he

how is ASC 102 with Michael Newton? are midterm/final based on written response?

Best econ 103 prof?

Also any easy elective suggestion? preferably for 1st year to get used to.

Just had Abraham for math 232, guy is insane. He expects a lot from his students.

Starting my first semester ever in a week...

buffon 08-27-2014 08:41 AM

Thoughts on taking Bus 343, Bus 381, Bus 360W all in the same semester plus maybe Crim 104 DE? Too much reading/writing in one semester?

Whats easier? 343 with Ho or 381 with Phillips?

You should be fine taking all of those.

I had Ho in 343, pretty easy course load (weekly tutorial activities, term paper) and MC exams

Dame legit? His ratemyprof for 157 seemed pretty good , but it is from year 07.
How were his exams?

His tests were difficult, but I liked how Doug Allen taught his class. So far it's been the only course that I've used principles outside of the classroom.

^ seconded. i'm a history major but I played the curve, and got the major concepts and ended up with a pretty good grade.

It's all about bombing that midterm and hedging bets on the final...:concentrate:

And search yoswa. I've already did an extensive profile on ASC classes seeing as how I'm a minor in it right now

If you're concerned about math 157, I can offer to tutor for a reasonable rate...

:lol

Thoughts on HSCI180 for those who've taken it?

Course material seems very interesting - how's the course load, exams, etc?

kunoman1 08-31-2014 11:41 PM

Have a good year folks,

Cheers from UC

I had a easy time in HSCI 140 (Michel Joffres). His lectures are unstructured and really dependent on YouTube videos but he gives out specifically what to study for in each section on Canvas. Literally.

I might be in your 381 but I'm deciding if I should take that or Bus 343/Crim 104. Who did you end up taking 360 with now? I got in Elliott's class lol.

+1 on this. HSCI 160 is definitely a GPA booster

buffon 09-02-2014 04:56 PM

Is Crim 104 with Barry a GPA booster? Anyone doing a Crim major? Does it require a lot of time? gYU recommended it so I just took it lol.

Noran 09-02-2014 05:40 PM

holy fuck I forgot how shitty this place is when it's grey outside.

HIST 106, PHYC 102, BUS 237, CMNS 130, my classes for the semester

out of all the 100 level crim classes, i'd say 101 or 131 would be the easiest. 104 had quite a bit of reading.

xXSupa 09-02-2014 06:49 PM

Pouring rain just in time for school. :fuckthatshit:

Taking BUS 207, 343, 360W this term.
360 in Surrey, rest in Burnaby.
