So many people complain about him, but I honestly think he is a good prof. He doesn't care about grades so much, he just wants to make sure you fully understand the lecture and not just the answer, but why and how you come to that answer.

It's really hard to understand what he is saying, but he gives good notes and information... most of the seats are empty cause its a lecture, but when it comes to the actual exam, its packed ! He hasn't called anyone yet... yet... lol

he only make you memorize the textbook. no math, no application, no twist

then it's a good thing if you want easy As.. but it will NOT help you in your later econ courses

Textbook? I have never bought a textbook in all 3 of my Akbar classes and I have done well. His powerpoint slides are very informative. I have learned more from Akbar than any other Econ prof so far. Cox is good, but Akbar makes you understand the concepts which help for everything. Most econ profs just make you understand the answer without explanation, Akbar drills it in your head on WHY it is the conclusion.

BTW, when is everyone's enroll date? I got friends that have it early November.. but mines early December!! wtf!!:confused:

It depends on the year your in to enroll.
First year, second, etc.

I heard its sports and scholarships first... but my friend didn't receive a scholarship and nor did I... and his is Nov 5th and mine is Dec 3rd..... IMO I think its random draw... but the early ones are only for 3 or 4 days.. then it skips to December since I have not heard of anyone with a mid or late November registration date.

First it's scholarship, then it's first year students, the special kind. Then it's based on your "level" determined by how many credits you have at the time an enrollment date is given, and then within your "level" it's based on CGPA.

There are plenty of people with mid to late November reggy dates including myself btw.

I'm there early because I get there about 7:20am everyday...for no reason...lolz I swear to god I'm always early for school. I've never ever been late for my morning classes =] (since elementary =___=") It's a weird bad habit I have haha.

Oh well, I just hope I get all the courses I want for next sem.
