ok wtf,
so now econ 301 has just been changed to econ 201 according to the economics homepage.
but it still regards that course as econ 301 on SIS for the summer semester. Not sure why they decided to change it. Must be due to the large failure rate in econ.

I think they are changing the policy or sth. I need to check with the advisor regarding grad requirements now ~.~
Anyone else in 301 with luefsman? how'd the mt go
Also how's 305 with David Andolfatto? or 302 with Anke Kessler? Deciding which to go with for summer

There are quite a few reasons, one being not wanting the time between taking Math 157, Econ 103 and 301 to be that great. Students usually have at least 4-5 semesters in between which makes 301 a great chore.
Second they are gonna use it to weed out people quicker. If they get weeded out in 2nd year, there will be no begging or excuses to let them continue with the degree. Short of Business right now, Econ is the biggest "subject" right now in SFU.

I'm with Luelfsmann right now for 301, I think average for the midterm was about 50-55%, he was estimating though. Midterm seemed pretty straightforward imo, needed more explanation in my answers
