Posted via RS Mobile | yea I think it's free to play. Funny thing is, I went to surrey a few times just to study and print out my stuff, next door to the printing room they were playing ping pong, looks fun but they were brown dudes at the time lol. And I also saw a ping pong table at the burnaby campus near the enviornmental science/TASC 1 area. Ppl were playing inside as well.

Some shithead just hit my parked car today.
Parked in b lot around 10am near the entrance ... Left at 230 and noticed a light scratch. Got home, water dried and its fuxking huge! I'd be livid if I was driving my jeep but I'm still kinda pissed. If you can't park don't drive to school!
BTW white miata hardtop gold wheels? Saw you in b lot as well, looking good huehue

Has anyone here done co-op and regretted it? Is it worth it? Is it possible to keep in touch with the co-op job? What I mean is have any one of you continued working for the company after you graduated?
I'm thinking really hard right now as to whether to do co-op or not. The workshops and the applications seem to take a lot of time. If you guys are wondering, I'm not planning to do grad school. So I don't know if co-op will be useful in my situation.

I'm currently in Co-Op still seeking for my first work term, and I have to say.. competition is definitely tough. (did several interviews (a few of them required passing the phone interview first). Personally quite discouraged right now, but I'm not giving up yet.
Applications and Workshops don't take that much time to be honest. Just sign up for the 3-in 1 workshop (cram resume, cover letter, interview) into 1 one day (saves so much time). I didn't find the workshops helpful at all. The workshop coordinators will tell you to do/highly recommend you to do certain things, but in the end your specific counselor tells you to do something else (I found more helpful). Other than that, you do 1-2 practice interviews with the counselor and you're basically released to seek.
I know that when you do find a job through Co-Op, you have to pay some fee of $800? But I don't really care..I think experience is more important anyways.
Edit: I read what you wrote about worrying about jobs after grading (example with your friend in econ, etc). Why not grad 1 year later, and do Co-Op to gain experience?
By the way, you don't need to complete all the Co-Op terms if you don't want to, (e.g., do 1-2 and quit Co-op), you just don't get the certificate/diploma for "Co-Op"

Thank you. That's what I needed to hear from A co-op student. Experience is what I need also.
I think you can't do co-op after you graduate? My coordinator said you have to leave 1 semester (taking courses at school) as your last semester at school in order to graduate. Ehh, it's frustrating.
I can either do co-op, or I could finish my degree, start another career...
But like you said, I can do 1 co-op or 2 co-op terms but I just won't get the certificate. The certificate ain't that important right?
