just do one side and one clip at a time. once both clips are undone, be careful as that retainer might spring away.

I tether a bit with light browsing and MSNing on my Bold... I never worry about going over cause I still the 6GB data plan. And I still find it hard to use over 300MB/month.

Premium Services

Hey! I'm looking at my Rogers bill right now, and I got charged 18 bucks for some Premium Services. It says I used 9 Msgs. Anyone know what this is? I hope it's not from tethering! It's 2 bucks a message! WTF? Thanks!

So it looks like this on my bill:

Type of usage: Event
Usage Description: Premium Services
You used: 9
Unit of measure: Msgs
Total cost ($): 18.00

Nevermind, I found it on Howard Forums... Damn, I got suckered by facebook! Lucky I stopped them... Started getting a couple messages everyday! Started getting annoying!

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1517788

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1483302

So looks like tethering is still ok.

Does the desktop manager version matter depending on the phone you are using?

Bold should use 4.6. Storm uses 4.7 IIRC.

actually it doesn't matter which version of DM you are using. i've heard 4.7 has some issues and 4.6 is the better one to use.

when i got the black bezel and the black buttons, all i had to do was slide the tabs into 2 small holes and it just holds there. so when removing, i assume you can just lift the flap open, and see if you can just wiggle the tabs free. be very careful though, as the 2 small holes are very delicate and can very easily be damaged.

hrm, if it doesn't wiggle free, then i assume the 2 tabs going in must be wider than the holes. you can see if you can try and squeeze them through.

thats it. the rubber piece is the one right by the mic. its easily pulled off. the mic mesh will be revealed once the rubber piece is removed. be careful removing the meshes as they do tear easily. the mic mesh is easy to transfer over, however, i can't say so for the top mesh. that piece of thing gave me a hard time.

Hey guys, i am heading to US this weekend, have a few questions, what should i do so that i wont get charged any data fee? i know i can turn off data services off when roaming; *so is this mean my bb messenger and all the apps that needs data wont work ? when i am in US? so only phone + text message(basically just normal phone) works ?

* oh and what about emails? would i still get it if i turn off data service?

Besides CNN, does anyone know where I can get these parts locally in Vancouver? There's gotta be someone in Vancouver trying to make a killing on these parts rather than having to order overseas

correct, your bb messenger and all apps would not work that requires data. and your emails wouldn't reach you either as that is data that is being pushed to you when connected to rogers BIS.

So tempted to order that red track ball.. But my friend told me that the ball is kinda orangey-red and that the texture of the ball is kinda waxy. Is it true?

You press the card in and it should eject out easily.
