I did battery pulls already and still the same issue.

I'm going to load up a previous restore file and if it doesn't work then I'm hitting up tech support.

3g was acting weird 2 weeks ago, did battery pull, turned on, wouldn't turn on. Talked to rogers and they said it's toast.

RIP bb.

I had the same problem... And I found that the 3-Sweden/Denmark version a lot better than the Bell version! This is what I posted on crackberry.com http://forums.crackberry.com/f83/off...ml#post4477089

Quote:
Ok, I'm going to say this from personal experience with my Rogers Bold...

The Bell version of the OS sucks for my Bold for some reason along with a lot of other people... I've loaded it and reloaded it probably 5 times now! Everytime with the same result! I keep getting major memory leak. I usually start off with 20mb from a battery pull, and then it'll drop down to around 12mb within an hour! And then less than 10mb within 6 hours!

Now I was fed up with it, and figured there's no point loading the 3-Sweden/Denmark version cause it'll probably be the same thing... But I did it anyways. I loaded it the same way I always do, and for some reason this version is fine with my Bold! I'll start off with around 30mb after a battery pull, and it'll hover around 26mb later on after doing some stuff... Now it's been more than 2 hours since I've loaded it, and it's still around 26mb! That's the same amount I had before on OS 4.6!

Now I don't doubt you xamdam for saying that the memory leak is caused by apps. But I loaded it with the same apps I had on before, and it seems to be fine now with this 3-Sweden/Denmark version. So maybe you could've had different results if you had loaded the Bell version first.

Now I'm not telling everyone to switch versions! I'm just reporting my results and experience with my Rogers Bold. Cause everyone can still have different results!

Well here's the other version if anyone wanted to try: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...38397FABBA902E

does your housing have the mesh on it already or does it need to be transferred over from your existing one?

Anyone know if its free to switch from my data plan to the blackberry one? I have the 30bux for 1gig of data...TIA!
When Rogers sent me my Bold the CSR put me on a regular data plan instead of a BB data plan. I called them back and told them the issue and they changed it for no additional charge. The regular data and BB data were the same price anyway.

Not sure where's a good place for batteries, but beware of ebay ones being fake non OEM ones.

It's not cheap locally @ Rogers either.. $30? Try one of the sponsors.. JP Cellular Repair in Rmd.

Hey guys,

I have an unlocked at&t bold on the Fido network and I'm trying to set up my wi-fi. What settings should I have to be able to do this? I tried connecting to my wireless at home but it just won't connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
