I dropped off 2 boxes there last week for shipping to a US address. Taped on the prepaid shipping labels at home. They took them, didn't cost me anything.

Sorry didn't want to flip through 29 pages. Does anyone know of a good shipping receiver in Bellingham. Specifically anyone that would accept pallets.

It's not in Bellingham but it's on it's way there. Blaine enterprises accepts pallets.

I opened an account with PR Shell. on the account confirmation it say they cannot receive USPS because USPS wont release the goods to them unless a release form was signed prior. any one know if its the same USPS policy with others like P2P and TLC?

I thought you just have to go into the store and sign some sort of USPS waiver. I think I did that eons ago when PR Shell first started their parcel pick up business.

This is true. Just sign a form while you're there and they are authorized to receive USPS on your behalf.

I signed the form the first time I picked up something. They'll usually ask you to sign it on your first trip there. No idea about TLC/P2P though.

Weekends are generally a bad time since most people don't work weekends (assuming that most people have Mon-Fri type jobs).

Went down today, in the afternoon no less:

- 2 car wait in Nexus line into PR
- 1/2 person wait at PR Shell
- $0.999/L gas at PR Shell or $0.919/L at US Gas
- 2 car wait in Nexus line out of PR

^Damn you, i don't have my nexus yet.

I guess a lot of people (including me) thought they would out smart the lazy people by going early in the morning (~9:30). Never going on a saturday again.

But the gas indeed was the lowest i've ever seen.

^^ That's why I like using PR Shell so much. They're open on Sundays, and that's typically when I go. Since most of the other shops are closed, traffic is almost always very light.

If I wasn't already in the area today, I wouldn't have gone down on a Saturday. Today's line up into PR in the regular lanes seemed both longer and slower than usual.

bump for the penny pinching crossborder shoppers

what's the best way you guys have been able to bypass the 2.5% CC fee on top of the now mediocre exchange rate?

Can I sign up for an american CC and pay it off with my canadian account?
my bank doesn't offer USD CC with no annual fees.

before i get the comments...2.5% still adds up over the course of a year

i ask because paypal exchange usually works out to be 2-3% lower than exchange rates so it ends up being the same as a direct CC purchase?

TD US Dollar Visa or BMO U.S. Dollar Mastercard.

Spend more than $1000 USD on the BMO card and the annual fee is waived the next year.

I'm currently using an Amazon Visa and so far I've been able to make purchases from the states.

Only downside is they gave me a card with a low credit limit lol...

Why not just use it as a shipping address?

^When you say you have the Amazon Visa:

Do you have the .ca Chase Visa or the .com Chase Visa? Are they the same (as in identical perks)?

some american payment systems will reject your card if billing address isn't US-based

we're talking about the .ca...perks cant be applied to .com
an US-issued CC would be a PITA because afaik every american application requires a social security number
