It was fun as hell to learn riding at PRS during rain. I took the course in March 3 years back and there was snow on the side of the street. good times.

Class 6L is just a piece of paper, you still keep your class 5 one.

But when you first get your class 6L you get a piece of paper.

6L is a a yellow paper. You keep your 5 until you pass the 6 test in which you are issued a new one stating you have both 5 and 6 certification.

^^ Whoops misread the post. The 6L is just the yellow paper and it's good for one year.

Ouch man, what'd you do to get yanked off the road?
If I've got a car N, and a motorcycle L right now.
Is this what I'll still need to do?
- Parking lot bike test
- N Bike road test
- Full Car road test
- Full Bike road test

- Full Bike road test | You only have to do one full road test. It's up to you whether you want to do it on the bike or the car

I thought that you would need to do 2 separate road tests for your class 5 and class 6 since there are additional things you need to do on a bike that you don't need to do in a car. But there is not N bike road test, there's only the Parking lot bike test then the full class 6 road test.

I'm a bit confused.
I have an "N" right now, that's a class 7.
If I'm reading this right... I got my bike learners, class 8L
I can do my parking lot skills test after 1 month. (I think PRS handles this as well?)
Also, which 2 restrictions go away after I pass this?
But I'll be stuck with an "L", and can't do my road test for 1 year?
I think there's both a class 8 (N?) and a class 6 (full?)
Ugh, why couldn't they just throw up a proper flow chart. |

passing the MST (parking lot exam done at icbc, or provided by PRS) will allow you to ride unsupervised by yourself from dawn til dusk. you're not allowed to carry any passengers or have any alcohol in your body. you're also required to have an L sign taped on your back/helmet or somewhere visible on the bike.
after 1 year, depending on whether you're eligible to take your class 5, you'll take either the 8N or the full class 6 (8N if you're not eligible for class 5 and class 6 if you are), which is the actual road test. upon receiving the 8N all of your restrictions will be removed, except for the alcohol limit. hope this helps!

Ugh, why couldn't they just throw up a proper flow chart. | Yeah, i recommend you doing your class 5 first, so when you get your class 8, you only have to wait a month to get your full license. It's also better to get some more road experience first as well.

you can pretend you never got the letter, but as soon as you get pulled over and they run your license, you'll get suspended. If you go to icbc, and try to get your motorcycle L, they will take away your license and suspend you. The only way, you can get your bike license is for you to dispute your tickets. When the dispute goes through, your warrant for your license is lifted, until you go to court. It says you have 30 days to dispute your ticket. However, sometimes you can get away with it mailing it late. I've done it before as late as 6 months, and it still went through.

i filed a late dispution at court, but for some fckkin reason ICBC said they never got it so they suspended me
should i go to court and ask again or just call the icbc head office
so the " after a month without surrending your license you will automatically start doing the suspension time " is bs?

Well that's just dumb.
I was just hoping to throw a bigger cylinder kit onto my scooter. But if I did, I wouldn't be able to ride at night? |
