You guys know if it is possible to go on retention with a existing plan? with not addition terms/renewals? Im planning to call them to add txt and caller id perhaps 500mb of data too, but if retention can give me a deal on that worth giving them a call? my plan is the kill offer plan -200minutes -unlimited after 5pm |

CRS do u know when a fido customer is eligible for a hardware upgrade? i heard it was 6 months till ur contract expires, does it also require me to renew? thanks |

As for the 6 months aspect, it could be likely because when you upgrade, you're doing the contract at the same time. It would be ideal to do both at once to save on cost for both your plan and your phone. |
1st offer from customer service: basic plan of $25 100 daytime mins unlimited ev/weekends unlimited text unlimited incoming - credited option bundle (call display and voicemail) - credited 500mb - 25 for 56.45 with tax.. and they are charging me the 35 for activation fee my contract expires july/10 i'd like to get my plan $40-50 this is for 3 months until contract expires doesnt seem like a very good deal.. ive never done this before. told him i'd call them back. i wouldnt mind signing another 2 year contract, looking to get an iphone or blackberry 8520 ive been with fido for 4 years+ called back--> got transferred to retentions: if i signed a 3 yr contract (which i dont want!!) 3 yr contract 25- no saf 200 daytime 1000 5pm evn weekend unlimited inc/ call display unlimited text voicemail $25 500mb 55+ tax ----> free 8520 blackberry credited 50$ 61.60 tax included i really did not like the rep, he was forceful and was pretty short with me. kept saying offer only valid till the end of the call, "im puttin on file you r refusing" repeatedly. hung up, planning on calling back soon. they told me i have no choice but take the 500mb.. isnt there one for 150mb though? what would i say when i call back:S ive already inquired about cancelling. thanks for reading |

i'm in the 6 month renewal window, called to ask about the renewal offers and the rep tells me to call back in 3-4 months closer to my expiry date. he said that usually there's better deals the closer to the end of the expiry date you get and that better deals usually roll out during the summer.... anyone have any thoughts about this? |
my dads been with fido for about 10 years now.. ever since we've gotten cellphones.. signed a contract 3 years ago, family plan (sis, dad, mom) contract expired about a month ago and im wanting to call (and pretend to be my dad) and try and get them better plans suggestions? my mom and dad don't text or use any special functions so i was looking at 200/250/300 daytime mins unlimited eve/week @ 5 unlimited incoming unlimited network calling CID, voicemail as for my sister, 300 daytime mins unlimited eve/week @ 5pm unlimited incoming unlimited text CID, voicemail is this doable since we've been customers for like 10 years.. and i was hoping to get 3 new phones out of this.. |
Hardware upgrades aren't even a concern. That is part of signing a new contract. As for your plans, they look pretty decent but you didn't list the price you're looking to pay. Of course, you can get the plans but it is a matter of how much that makes it a good deal. The EPP plan at 17.50/month will give you the 5PM evenings + weekends and a standard 200 mins (you can upgrade from there). Everything else will be an add on so that is where you'll need to negotiate. If you can get it for say.. around the 25-30 range taxes in, it would be a pretty bang on deal. |
2 year plan
$45/month + tax |

Right now i'm paying $25 for: 200 everyday mins unlimited evening/weekend mins unlimited fido - fido/rogers (+$10) Call display Voicemail Unlimited text ($10) So comes to about $45 + tax Looking at getting the data plan too... but they wouldn't budge and let me get a hardware upgrade, my contract expires in feb 2011 and they won't let me do a hardware upgrade until september. I wouldn't mind the bb 8520 or iphone... Is there anyway talking to them into getting a hardware upgrade + a better plan, although i've only been with fido for 2years? And how do you guys get some of your add-ons credited? |
K new plan update. $37.50 200anyday min unlimited fido/fido/rogers unlimited weekends and evenings after 5pm caller id voicemai unlimited text 500mb data (+$25) comes to about $70 after tax, still kinda expensive.. fuck |
Resigned with fido after my first 3 year contract was about to expire, I threatened to leave and switch to Bell since my contract was pos, here's what I got: 250daytime mins Unlimited incoming Unlimited fido/fido/rogers Unlimited weekends evenings starting at 5 Unlimited texting 1gb data 100 long distance mins + fido sent me a 16gb iphone 3gs and after using my fido dollars it was only $100  After taxes its $79 a month. thats my plan without the data and mine is 25 with taxes |

just tell them what you're really looking for in a plan and see if they can offer it to you. if not, you can always callback later and try again as for the hardware upgrade.. try to see if you can use your fido dollars + cash towards a new phone as well |
Need your guys help trying to get my Fido bill reduced. What should I do? Heres what I currently have: EPP 200/Unl. E/WE+Eve. 5pm -- 17.50 iPhone Value Pack+VVmail -- 15.00 Internet option / 6 GB -- 30.00 After all the taxes and other BS, I usually end up paying about 80$ a month. Currently I am 21/36 months into my contract. I have called retention before and told them about some EPP plan from Telus that was comparable to what I have now, but 1GB data, No SAF + 911, all for about 50$ pre-tax, and the best that they offered me was taking away the SAF. I refused and said I'd think about it. What are my options now at this point? Do I have to tough it out till I get closer to the end of my contract, or is there something I can do? |

my unlimited city fido contract's ending the end of the month and called them to see if they can match wind pricing and got this unlimited local voice (if your in another city, you can call that city for free as well, similar to the old country fido plan) 2500 text voicemail caller ID no SAF no contract $40+tax they wouldnt get me an iphone/blackberry unless i sign 3 yr contract + $25 data, cant even buy it straight up. I still want to move over to wind because of their awesome roaming charges in the states but this will do for now until wind gets more established and stable in Vancouver. |
Helped my girlfriend and her bro get a new plan and this is how it looks like: 200mins Evenings/Weekends 5pm 500mb Unlimited text caller ID voice mail $17.50 EPP + $30 VP - $15 credit = $32.50 + Taxes no SAF this seems a lot better than my plan on rogers >.> |
